Alli was a shadow of what he's been like lately today. Kane didn't do much. Eriksen looked tired as well, lots of poor passes. Son looked to have boots made of wood on. We need the front four to be firing, and they just weren't today.

Surely that is a sign that this "referee" was paid off. Poch was not happy but the 4th official was just saying "don't blame me gov, talk to the ref".

There were about 5 subs and surely a few injuries? Meanwhile the Gooners get 6 mins to try to equalise but..... :D :D :D

I don't think we have to add that narrative, away to sides in a relegation battle in the second half of the season are often tricky games

No good having a striker in the bench and giving him 7 minutes when we haven't tested the keeper all game

Poch has to actually gamble some times in the league

Draws are what killed us last season

If the tactics ain't working ... change them
 
Sad to say but Chelsea are the only vaguely consistent side in terms of getting three points. I hope at least they drop 2 today.
 
I'm not gonna get too down about it -- it's my fault for over-rating us. We are a less rich version of Arsenal; good in between the games that really matter, then bottle the chance to do anything significant. Whatever it is that it takes to get to that next level, we don't have it yet.
 
Well, two points dropped. We looked pretty dire today offensively - did a decent job stifling their offensive attempts, but just...no creativity or skill going forward. Lots and lots of aimless crosses and then, at the end, just long, endless punts forward.

This was an opportunity missed. It wasn't the *worst* point in the world - it's away to a side fighting for their lives, so it's not awful. Just....thoroughly lifeless sort of game. Lots of sweat, very little inspiration.

Wanyama and Dembele did well - Dembele in particular did well keeping the ball, and Wanyama stifled their offensive threat without much trouble. Eriksen and Alli were poor - no service for Kane, and no cutting edge offered by them up front. Son made some good runs, but remained frustratingly inconsistent. Kane....sort of existed, I guess. Vorm had nothing to do, Dier and Toby did reasonably well containing Defoe, and Walker was okay. Davies was okay, except for that brainless long shot at the end which took away whatever little momentum we were building up. Sissoko had one good run but otherwise offered little. Janssen didn't have enough time. Hope Rose is okay for the weekend.

Oh, and thank you from the bottom of my heart, cameraman for the match feed that TSN picked up, for spending 45 minutes showing me the assorted gut-bulges and blobby bits of various Sunderland lovelies in ill-fitting jersies laughing to their mates, instead of the f*cking game I pay a subscription to watch. No, I have no interest in watching some beardy fat blokes gurgling cheerfully to their similarly ill-proportioned friend - I want to see the footballers on the pitch, and I'll be obliged to you if you don't give up your day job as a matchday cameraman to go on wild 'Creatures of the Untamed North' nature shows within the stadium.
 
Forward line off tune today. We had chances to put Sunderland away but we appeared dull and tired even in the first 10 minutes. That said Lee Mason messed up the most important decision of the game. That tackle was disgraceful and I wonder if the FA will take a look at it.
 
That was terrible to be honest. We created one clear goalscoring opportunity in 90 minutes against the worst team in the league and got exactly what we deserved, a draw. There was just no energy about our performance. Everything was so slow and there was no quality either. And although I am sure we were, it didn't really look like we desperate to win the match. It was very much like the Bournemouth match, except they are a better team than Sunderland.

The Sissoko substitution made no sense to me. He's not a footballer. How is he going to help in a match like that? Son was not great, but at least he has goals in him. And waiting until there are five minutes left to put Janssen on is basically saying: "I don't beleive for a second you'll help us get a goal, but just because people will want it, I'll give you five minutes.

A wasted opportunity with other teams dropping points, and we'll get the Manchester teams back in close attention tomorrow.

Every game in this league is tricky, but if we want to be a title winning side, we have to find a way to win when we know our rivals have fixtures where they are more likely to drop points -- particularly when we are chasing them.

I really don't think so, they don't know whats going on in other games, you can only play the board

it doesn't matter what happens in each game week, yeah we drew at sunderland, but liverpool lost at home to swansea, bournemouth can lose at palace, anything can happen at any time

it's a failure of management if some of our games are treated differently because they are being played on the same day as a rival is playing someone else
