Europa League 2015/16

Villarreal were fudging awful.

Commentators on Liverpool TV (BT Sport) made it a painful experience all ends up, annoyingly I didn't realise the other semi-final was on the other channel...
 
Do not want Liverpool winning this! it would be hard to argue with someone if they said Liverpool have had a more successful season than us should they win this. Yet another trophy in their cabinet. Get's pretty annoying being reminded that we've only won 2 League Cups in 25 years. Whilst Pool haven't won the league in a long time they've still been adding alot of Cups.

If they are in the Champions League they will be able to attract a similiar level of player to us, and with Klopp getting a full pre season to prepare they could be a real challenge next season.

If they win the EL they will have. You don't get a trophy for 2nd. In the same vein City and United (if they win the FA Cup) can argue they had more successful seasons as they have won silverware.
It does not mean we havent had a great season though

Dont speak so soon.

This summer we might win the International Champions Cup - about as prestigious as the Eurovision Football Contest and much harder to win.
 
Ronald Koeman says it would be a "big achievement" if his side can claim at least four points between now and the end of the season and beat their record Premier League points haul from last season.

Okay, I am confused now. How does this work then? Am I right in saying the following.

If Liverpool finish 7th and win the Europa League, then the 3rd EL slot doesn't go to 8th place. Our 3rd EL spot is passed to another association, but
If Southampton finish 7th, Liverpool 8th and win the EL then we still have our 3 places

It is on BT Sport Europe but I think it's also on BT Showcase or something which I believe is a freeview channel.
