Serious relegation fears

Having been at Leicester on Monday night for Rafa's first game I now want you to win the title. fudgeing small time happy clappers and they had a fudgeing drum. fudge off.
the clapper thing really annoyed me, no team sitting 1st should need those to make an atmosphere

Do. Not. Discount. The. Goons.

Couldn't believe it when the commentator read out their home fixtures during the Everton game. Watford, Palace, Norwich, Villa, West Brom. Easily 5 guaranteed home wins there. They will push close for the league.

Have been saying all along the hysteria about their annual collapse is just wrong this year. They always come back. Always. Wenger never 'loses the dressing room'.

Even if they win all the rest of their games (and they won't come near close), Leicester would just need 13 points from 21.

Arsenal are out of the title race.

If Leceister drop enough to let us in, they will also let Arsenal in. It won't be so much distance between the 3 of us.

With that said, it just doesn't look like Leceister are gonna drop does it?

I'd be surprised if anyone but Leicester won the title now. With a win tomorrow we'll still be five points behind. Arse winning their game in hand puts them eight points behind, with only 7 games and 21 available points left. City I think are definitely out of the race already.

Stranger things have happened of course, but Leicester have the momentum, they keep grinding out wins and they have that 5-8 point buffer so close to the end of the season. I think the only things that can potentially cost them the title, is some proper bad luck or their nerves getting to them.

Fingers crossed. We just need to do our thing and concentrate on winning tomorrow, then we'll see what happens.

Have we not changed the title of this thread yet? Since it changed I dont think Leicester have lost and in fact I think they have only dropped 2pts.

We are all fighting for 2nd place, 3 of their next 4 at home and Sunderland away Christ, with the fixtures we have coming and the extra 3 we have on Arsenal, they could be 8pts clear of both of us with 3 matches left and fall over the line
Even with them drawing 2 of that next 4 (maybe WH at Home;Sun Away) it would give them 74. Just cant see them blowing this. Tbh, now it would be like Devon Lock in the National.
Massive pressure tomorrow, another but a win tomorrow and surely the most blinkered of Spurs fans must accept the dream is over

Bang on the money, I actually think we will do our usual so I am hoping Leicester keep on winning and I think they will they are finding a way to win when playing badly. I want us to finish in the top 3 and make a couple of real good signings in the summer and get Poch to sign a new contract and I will be happy.

Coming so close and seeing Leicester win the league would be an odd feeling but we all know it is a freak once in a life time thing. Where as Arsenal winning the league would tinkle me off. I think if Arsenal do not win it this year then they will go another 10 years without winning it. Where as for me it does not matter if we do not win the league, would like to see it happen but it is more important to win the odd cup and play good football.

When they do, a part of me hopes they win it comfortably in the end, if we are 3pts or less behind we will always wonder if we had held on for a draw at WHL, although if we are within 6pts some will still say 'Just think if we had beaten them at WHL'
I'd rather finish 7pts behind than 6 or less, no what-ifs then

There will always be what ifs this season no matter the outcome - which ultimately will be a good thing for our young team and hopefully focus us going in to next season...

I wonder had we known from the outset how involved we'd be in the title race if we'd have done more in the early part of the season in the games which we let slip through our fingers?

Well I'm surprised where we are....
The fans have to get behind the team more at the Lane.....

They recently lost at home to Swansea. Nothing guaranteed

Yes but this is pressure off, nothing to play for, season over Arsenal. This is when their ability to flat track bully knows no bounds. Great run of form towards the end of the season, raise the hope that next year will be the one and give Wenger a bit more time, just at the point they need to secure season ticket renewals.

It's actually laughable how predictable they are.

Excellent question, and one for discussion. My personal feeling is that we were not capable back then for a variety of reasons, most pointedly the bedding of a defense/Dier in holding mid. I think both Poch and the side have learnt very very quickly, and frankly, at this stage of the season I expected to hopefully be battling for top 4 from (say) 5th.

Great post.
