Shaky at the back at times, but we were fantastic in so many other ways, we really do have a sniff at winning the title !!!

Seems like this turned into a good day anyway. Great comeback win for us, and a defeat for Man Utd. At half time I hated football, but I now I love it again. A shame about Leicester, of course, but still a good day overall.
As for the game itself, we were sloppy in the first half. Yes, we dominated the game, but we invited Palace into the game by giving them little gifts in our half. FIrst it gave them encouragement, and eventually it gave them a goal.
We started the second half very well, put them under pressure (or did Palace just become too passive in their attempt to protect their lead?). Whichever way it was we got the goal we deserved. A lovely striker's goal from Kane. The rest of the game was simply crazy. Palace may not be much of a football team, but they are good at putting teams under pressure when they go for it, and they looked dangerous every time they hoofed the ball forward and on set pieces. We rode our luch a couple of times, and then luckly we had the individual quality to win the game with two great goals.
Great to win on a mediocre day. The most nervewrecking experience since... well... Watford, For once I am glad it's a week until our next game. I need to rest.

Alli nearly trumped his own effort for GOTM, had his next effort not hit the bar had would have had another contender.

he looked off form today, lack of concentration maybe, made an excellent hold at 1-1, didn't keep things calm like he normally does though, a couple of saves went straight back to palace players, hes normally so good at deflecting things safe

Perhaps that United win at Anfield wasnt too bad after all, as for me its just been cancelled out today. Shame about the late Liverpool winner, a draw would have been nice.
Hopefully Vertonghen isnt too badly injured. 10 days rest for him more than likely. I suppose we still have Fazio to fill Wimmer's seat on the bench, we have had worse replacements

I predicted 3-1 before the game. But to be honest, before Kane's goal I thought it was going to be "one of those days" where we'd outplay them and somehow still lose.
But credit to the lads, they kept the pressure up and came away with (on balance) a result we deserved.
Eriksen had a relatively poor game, I suppose, but he was involved in the build-up for two of the goals - so it seems churlish to complain. Kane got on the score-sheet again (next time we get around to voting for the Best Spurs Team ever, he'll be on the striker short-list for sure!) and Alli's goal gave me flashbacks to Hoddle. It was that good. Chadli's cameo demonstrated again that he's an excellent option to have in the squad and is getting himself back in the "Starting 11" conversation. Son was decent though not outstanding. Unlike Alderweireld who - yet again - was outstanding. Shame about Vertonghen's injury (fingers crossed it's not a major one) but Wimmer seems like an able backup.
Overall a good performance against a decent side. Not a "great" performance, but plenty good enough to keep up our challenge for a top four finish.

That goal is one of favourite moments as a Spurs fan. Honestly it was that good. What a strike.

Tottenham have never finished in the top three of the Premier League, and this was a huge test of their character and spirit - and they passed it with flying colours.
This well-deserved victory keeps them only five points behind surprise leaders Leicester, but they had to show their fighting spirit. They were frustrated by a well-organised Palace team, who took a shock lead through Vertonghen's first-half own goal.
But three pieces of skill saw Spurs fight back for the win. Kane's header maintained a remarkable run of form that has now seen him score 12 times in his past 14 Premier League appearances.
Alli, who is only 19, showed wonderful composure to take a touch 25 yards out, flick the ball back over his head to deceive Palace's Mile Jedinak, and then volley past Wayne Hennessey. A third goal, a stunning finish from Chadli, in the third minute of injury time made the match look a bit more comfortable then it was and was harsh on a battling home side.
