So glad I was there.., the Spurs faithful were amazing... Every one of the players were playing out of their skin....to top it off there was some good banter with some Emirates Marketing Project fans who conceded that deserved to lose this one...they admitted not knowing about delle alli, and joked about the return of Kieron Dyer (it was Eric) lol... To top it off, beautiful sunshine too.... What a glorious, beautiful day! I LOVE YOU SPURS!

I thought that maybe the disadvantage of having a team of similar, team orientated young men meant that if things weren't going their way, the collective heads would drop. And maybe that will happen from time to time. But the definite advantage is, they are growing together, they are comfortable with each other, and when one rises, they all rise together. They collectively swarm the opposition and hit form in a game at the same time, and it's great to see. I think it will lead to a good amount of consistency in performance for us.

Just a great great day. I really am so proud. Proud of the young players for doing the business. Proud of Levy for putting a strategy in place and having the foresight to know he needs to make the right hires and signings in the right places to carry it out. Proud of having a manager like Poch, who away from and on the touchline just seems to be a sheer class act. Proud of Lamela for never hiding even though the road to good performances has been ridiculously hard and he could have decided to jack it all in.

Credit where credit's due, you were stunning today, 100% good value of the 4-1 scoreline. Just better than us in every department. Not seen a team dominate us like that since Chelsea the other season. Deserved win, just like the Arsenal game midweek but unfortunately you had the finishing touch today haha.

I'm not getting carried away. I'm not saying we are going to win the league. I'm just saying a plan has actually come together. It's no longer a hodge-podge of one side of the club wanting it done this way but the manager demanding this, and the Technical Coordinator whispering behind the scenes to create the right environment for himself. Everyone is working together and it really shows.

I really don't care about signings. I'm confident we will sign the players to fit into the squad, and that's the most important thing. I don't think it can be overstated how important, and how much a strategic advantage, our team spirit is going to be. The fact that these players will communicate together, stick together and grow together. Any signing we have to be absolutely sure will fit into that.

I'm just watching Saudi Sportswashing Machine/Chelsea, and I wouldn't be surprised if there are cliques developing in the Chelsea dressing room. You've got a big Spanish contingent. You've got a left back from Ghana experienced in the Austrian league costing £17m. You've got players like Falcao and Remy, who have joined knowing they will never be first choice. It's just a big mesh of players and I think the bubble of just spending as much as possible and being guaranteed success is going to burst. There is more access to information. There are more clever people that can do the analysis to decide who is really worth the money. A guy like Clinton is not a good signing for us because we paid upwards of £25m because he tore it up in a league unsuited to the Prem, he's a good signing because he seems like a character, he's got a good level of English, you see from the first moment he's on the pitch that he closes down every ball as hard as he can and he can play right across the front line. He's a relatively modest signing but one that I suspect completely fits in with the team spirit at the club.

One of the most important things for us transfer wise will be not upsetting the balance. I'd almost say if there's a talented youngster that knows the club and is willing to work hard, we make every effort to use them before looking into the market. If Winks can turn into a good Dier back up, let's not spend £30m on Wanyama. But if we unearth a super hard working, relatively modest looking talent that's good with both feet, can speak the language and is well suited to our tactical plan, let's see if his club will make a fair deal.
 
I missed the entire match. Between my mother in law and my wife, I was busy for 5 hrs. I am however glad at the result. Glad that Lamela scored and KANE scored too to break his duck. However Eric Dier - DAMNNN!! And when last did we score from a corner before this season!!
 
this one deserves to go on HD Blu ray or whatever...oh the drama:
- us going down first to a counter attack
- lamela starting with a fumble then going from strength to strength and scoring a teasing goal
- diers amazing long range strike after an amazing save from the Emirates Marketing Project goalie
- eriksens trademark freekick, kane's instinct and technique to score ..... and break his duck
- n'jie's fearless cameo against the league leaders, and assist
- walkers best game in a while
- youngest team put forward in the premiership this season
- a few world class saves from Loris
- the belgian defensive duo
in short, an amazing game!

How many times have we got excited only to see it all crash.
But I agree this is a better squad than las t season.Ali Son and Nije ..youngsters coming out of the blue. Kane last year,Mason and I am waiting to see Pritchard play as well...LOL.

We didn't score from a corner today either. Aldeweirelds was from a free kick. Excellent delivery from Lamela though.

I get used to it now, bbc made excuse after excuse for City losing today rather than giving us the credit we deserved, Dier's interview was great today afterwards on Spurs tv, check it out if you havent already
