Emmanuel Adebayor - Officially gone \o/

why?

scientific studies have found a negative correlation between I.Q. and religiosity and a strong link between national average IQ and atheism in society

we are probably about to get told to take this to random, where its been debated before

Therefore you think you have a higher IQ than me because I believe in GHod? No offence but I find that personally laughable.

i'm not judging you, I don't know you

i'm judging a man who says he needs "a sign from GHod" before doing a days work and commenting on the findings of scientific research on the subject

I apologise if you believe this is aimed at you. It is not. I understand your viewpoint but the way it has been put in the post by scara will offend certain people. He said the below.

His belief in higher powers is a clear marker of his lack of cognitive agility.

That is offensive. I believe in a higher power therefore I lack cognitive agility. What!!

The statement is not required. You can cast aspersions on Adebayor's intelligence and his crappy excuse but leave us GHod worshippers out of this.
There you go argue against the point, don't just say you find it offends you as that is not really relevant

Scara, offend someone, thats a first, nothing wrong with offending people mind, no one has a right to not be offended.

As much as i'd love to spend the day quoting Dawkins and Hitchens this isn't the time or the place.

I find this statement highly offensive.
The only forms of offence that I consider to be out of bounds are those about which a person has no choice - race, gender, sexuality, etc.

You have chosen to disregard all logic and reasoning and instead to have an imaginary friend. As it's your choice to do so you have no right of protection against remarks that thought process leads you to find offensive.

As a side note, I find religion offensive. I don't suppose you'd mind stopping practicing it would you?

That is your own choice. However your finding religion offensive is not offensive to me. What is offensive is the cognitive agility statement and it is clear neither of us are going to budge on that. Therefore End of discussion.

Do you think some component of his pay is play related? Probably not :( What a terrible waste of money and talent.

Sorry, but there it is! :p

I'm offended by players making gestures towards their GHod or citing him as the reason they played well. Much like politics, religion should have no place in football.

A pet hate of mine.....never forget Lampard scoring then looking up to the sky when his mum had just passed away. Sorry its just not right!
I better go ......................................................

He really laid it on with a trowel that day. Gesture football.
