***** OMT TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs. Hull City ********

Teddy's greatest pen miss was in the FA Cup QF at maine Road after the pitch invasion. I think Coton had a word with him and warned that it could end Manchester as a city once and for all. Mental day-out that one, old-school bonkers...

I remember watching that on TV although don't recall much except for the pitch invasion....my now missus was in the front row of the Spurs end and it's safe to say was a little frightening....

I got back from holiday yesterday morning...pretty jet lagged but wishing I'd stayed an extra few days rather than returning for a trip to Hull!

I have little expectation that our pitiful team will put up a fight against anyone let alone a side with ex Spurs...I would like to see the following...

GK Lloris
RB Dier
CB Fazio
CB Vertonghen
LB Davies
CM Mason
CM Stambouli
CM Dembele
RF Lamela
CF Soldado
LF Chadli

A little harsh on Kane but I really don't like 4231 formation especially not with the players we have at our disposal and 3 in the middle should give us far more defensive stability!

I don't expect anywhere near that line up and will be 4231 anyway so Hull 2 Spurs 0!

I bet Soldado never misses a shot in training. So is the bib theory going to help us guess team selection?

------------------------Lloris--------------------------
Dier--------Kaboul----------Vertonghen-------Davies
--------Dembele-----------------Mason------------
Lamela----------------Chaldi------------------Eriksen
---------------------Soldado----------------------------

Harsh on Kane but I firmly believe they are our best front four based on ability. I guess I'm blindly hoping that the good stuff I saw in pre-season will just click again.

Soldado has had two weeks to work with Poch at the training ground, Ade and Kane have both been away for over half of that on international duty.

Weren't we already 4-2 up when he missed the pen?

His missed penalties 2 seasons later against Ipswich and Man Utd stick out more to me. His missed one on his United debut against us when he hit the post always makes me smile :)

As pointed out when United come calling and you look around our dressing room it's no wonder he left. He's my all time hero and I was gutted when he left - and for £3.5m!!!!

Agree with the unfair critiscm of Armstrong - anyone replacing Klinsmann was gonna find it tough.

Also, Ferdinand replaced Teddy - Hardly a poor signing at the time despite it never really working out.

I know he isnt playing, and I dont know how well it might go down with the home crowd, but I would love it if Michael Dawson came over to the Spurs fans and gave us a bit of a clap.
The again it may be better at the home game. Just a thought.

That aside I think we all know Tommy is going a hit a screamer past Lloris at some point tomorrow

I don't care who we pick, how we play or whatever - we just have to win this game, coz it will put us in touching distance of 4th place.

3 points tomorrow and the season starts anew with Partizan at home followed by Everton at home in the league. Redeem yourselves boys, c'mon!

That's the point mate.
Coton told him if that if he scored, it would likely end the match by causing a riot. Trust me, he did the right thing given what was going on. Sheringham was one of my favorites of all-time, a fantastic footballer.
