Yep, and a far, far better left back than Rose. He's also been a pretty decent centre back and DM when called upon too.

He's the opposite of Rose - none of the physical attributes and all of the mental ones.

All Im saying is that we should be a little proud that we are producing players that are at least getting up to England level consideration. You can deride England all you want and I do too, but they are still a Top 10-20 nation.

As other clubs have shown repeatedly it's perfectly possible to produce or have players that get to the England level consideration (and above) that are not good enough to be regular starters for a top 4 chasing team.

Not very nice of Poch to say he is selling Rose though, I know it is a joke but to persist with it and get your mates to back you up seems harsh, that is football though I guess, arf arf

I think it's great. Nice to know Poch has a sense of humour.

I like Danny. Hope he does really well.
 
I was impressed by Rose in his opening two performances having been a hater of his last season. I think he's much better than Ben Davies but signing Davies has perhaps motivated Danny to put more effort in and now we should see some benefits.

Well done to him on his England call up.

Except it's the sort of joke you only chance when you know there's no chance it's true. All the more reassuring for Danny that Poch felt able to joke about it.

This, it would only be a joke if Rose has been assured he's part of the plans.

Quite a humble/honest interview from Rose, seems we have a few players finding a second chance this season, long may it continue.

True. All I kept thinking was how awkward it will be in 6 or 12 months when Poch has to call Danny Rose into his office and say "Danny, we're selling you... no really... no, REALLY"!
 
I was one of his harshest critics last season.
I saw a lot of improvement pre-season and have continued to see some early season.
I'm in his court until he proves otherwise at this point…
I hope he and Verts combine to snuff Kid N Play on Sunday.

Also very good news that Rose sees the positive in competition for places and is looking at the Davies signing as something that he can use to improve himself.
 
Dear Danny,

Thanks for the goal against Arsenal and all, but would you please stop being a whiny diving little ****bag? One wonder goal doesn't exempt you from being criticized for repeatedly attempting one of the most disgusting things in the game. It'd be great if you focused more on the game around you and what options you have rather than just figuring out how best to fall over.

I thought he had a good game today but not as good as others. I thought Eriksen was very good today in the central areas.
