We are not going to win the cup anyway so yeah i do. I think everyone on here knows how much i support tottenham, been a member on here for 10 years been going to games for 20 years must have been to nearly 300 games in my life.
But when we played man u and they were going for the league ahead of arsenal, i hoped man u would win that day, a few years ago we drew brighton in the cup and i wanted them to win as they needed the money and i knew we would not win it anyway.
So if we play bolton again yes i hope they win, i will not cheer them or support them but i hope that they win and it helps them as a club and a group of people move forward and i do not care what anyone thinks of me for that.

I was at the game on Saturday and I would like to state how proud I am to be a supporter of a club, whose players, officials and supporters showed the world that humanity and the life of a young man transcended all football rivalries.
If the hope and prayers that have been provided to Muamba can be distilled and offered up to a higher being, let’s hope that the positive signs that have been widely reported in this afternoon's press are indicative of a full recovery??

I've always thought he acts with a lot of class and dignity. Rarely complains about the officiating before or after a match, is always very complimentary about his opponents and just seems like a good, honest professional both as a player and manager. His handling of this ordeal has been nothing short of exemplary.

I hear where you are coming from. I want Spurs to win, they're my team. But it would be fabulous if Bolton won the competition.
Both events are mutually exclusive, but I would be very happy with either of them.

The good news there is that he seems to be compos mentis - if the lack of oxygen to his brain had caused bad damage, it's less likely he'd be in a state to answer questions (even by nodding) or recognise family. My understanding is that chest compressions are in part to get the heart started again, but also to keep bloody pumping through the body. Hopefully, those compressions started early enough that his brain wasn't deprived of oxygen for too long.
On the downside, I would very much doubt his career can continue. Not least of which, insuring him might be impossible, on top of the obvious likelihood that his physicians will tell him to pack it in.
Meh, probably too soon to even talk about that stuff - his chances of living seem to be improving, but there must still be the chance of a sudden relapse.

Never heard of one football supporter like you Japanese. Respect your views, but I can't understand the idea of 'I knew we would not win it anyway'. I've been pretty sure in the 10 years I've supported Spurs that we wouldn't win the league at the start of every season... that hasn't diminished my passion one bit.
When we qualified for the champions league, did you think 'here's another competition we aren't going to win'? Because that fact didn't make me any less excited about Spurs playing on the biggest stage, rubbing shoulders with, lets face it, superior clubs like Barca, Real etc.
And do you think Portsmouth fans felt that way before they won the FA cup, or Birmingham fans before they won the Carling cup? Dreaming is what football is all about, even if the chances are slim, because anything can happen. If you go into every competition certain in the knowledge that we aren't going to win it, really what is the point of following the club?
