***OMT*** Tottenham Hotspur v Hull City, Saturday 1st February 15:00

This. Should be able to build our goal difference back up again too.

We only beat them 1-0 last time with a dodgy penalty. We should win the game but I don't really care how much we win by. The damage was done to our goal difference by the previous regime and we're not catching Liverpool in that respect.

So scorelines count if AVB is in charge but not if Timmeh is?

Failing to rack up a good score has the same end effect on goal difference as losing by a large margin.

No, of course it matters but I'm not going to be unhappy if we win 1-0 as long as we play well. I don't ever expect us to thrash teams when playing away from home. Teams are supposed to be better at home that's how football works. I was just pointing out that we have played this time twice already and we needed penalties to beat them once and a fortunate penalty to win the other one so saying we should smash them is a fallacy. I would expect us to smash teams like West Ham, Palace and Cardiff AT HOME, but not on the road.

Hmm, when AVB was in charge you insisted that it didn't matter what the score was as still received 3 points regardless of margin of victory.

Hull have conceded 8 in 11 home games. If we win on Saturday, their home record will be identical to ours, though their goal difference is way better than ours at home.

Please remind me of the goal differences this season in the PL when TS and AVB were in charge respectively ?

You may want to wait until we have played more big teams under Sherwood. His first big match in the league and he has lost badly. And beating a mid-table ManU no longer feels as special as when they used to be a top 2 team.

Man U mid table? they are 3 points behind us? If we lost and they won at the weekend they would be ahead of us on GD

Lets replay the game. 1-0 City, 40 mins to go.

Actually nuts to that. I don't want to play City again until we look like we might be able to actually give them a proper game of football.

Does Erik Lamela still exist? Am I the only one who harbours faint hopes he might one day play a game for Spurs?

He's even disappeared out of discussions on whose back from injury.

Just wanted to check he is a real person and not just a figment of my imagination. The Argentine bloke, right?
