I agree with Yiddo - would we realy have 90m plus or minus the cash fromsales, if we keep Bale? Thats why I ask.

But as Spaceman says - maybe Bale is thinking twice and thinking spurs are building a ****in great team here - so from wanting him to stay - can we actually afford for hm to stay?

didnt follow what he was saying around those signings. if he said it then he was led to believe it was done. this may come as a surprise to you but did you know that deals sometimes fall through for numerous reasons? show me 1 itk that has a 100% record....... just 1?

this guy is legit, and not some attention seeking **** like most others.

If we pay 30m for Willian then we've spent 60m net.
Factor in the extra 30m in the TV money and we've got 30m from somewhere.

We could be making up this 30m with next years TV money and not spending next year.
Or we could be banking on selling Bale next summer for 60-70m.

I dont think this depends yet on Bale going.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'legit', but he is clearly not reliable as he recently showed himself to be wrong three times in a row, i.e. unreliable.

Lets look at it though.

Sales. Dempsey 5m? Hudd 5m? Parker 2m, Caulker 9m. So 21m. Added to the additional tv revenue that makes about 50m.


Purchases i think we're at about 50m at the moment. paulinho 17, Soldado 26, Chadli 7?, Capoue? 9m? So about 59m. So about a 10m outlay thus far.

That's a perfectly reasonable outlay as we made about 10m last summer. Of course you'd have to go back to see if we'd lost the previous summers.. I cba to do that right now.

That's where we've gotten the money from to improve our team thus far. Anything after that could be from anywhere. It's not unreasonable for us to be down 30m this season if Bale has an agreement saying he can leave next season if we fail to get in.

We recoup the money either way. If we are truly after both i would be surprised if Bale was here after the window ends.



However if he is i won't fret, Whatever Daniel Levy is not, he is very good with our finances.

I guess we'll want to wait to take some pictures of him in the sunshine holding a shirt at Bulls Cross before announcing it officially.

Add to this the possible 50m loan by Uncle Joe and its possible this money could bring in 2 of Willian, Lamela and maybe Hulk.

This all without selling Bale this year.

Well, we've made 25 on sales, so ostensibly, it'd be a 5m spend by your figures mate...I think JL knows this is the summer to invest, thus he has loosened the wallet based on a variety of factors including being able to re: FFP and knowing his stadium needs building/naming rights plus chairman, manager and DOF all on the same age for the first time since maybe ever? And agree, Willian signing has nowt to do with Bale...
