The Blue & Yellow ITK Bonanza Thread

This is from a different source but one we believe is decent.

"Fee agreed with Real Madrid a few weeks ago. Deal has been done. Agreement with Real that its will not be announced until we have concluded our purchases.

So long and thanks for the memories Gareth. It's been a pleasure."

That's several very contradictory messages we've had tonight so pick which one you'd like to believe.

It sadly sounds kind of plausible the way we're looking to spend this window. :(

Big offer in for Bale. £85m, four instalments plus coentreo

he also added

Under Armour been told Bale is leaving.

Look at it this way......

If they are paying us in 4 installments, for arguments sake lets say we are on all this windows purchases as well.

That means when RM drop us £21m each year they are effectively paying our installments for Soldado, Paulinho, Chadli, Caboue, Contraeo, and Willian or Lamela....basically all the transfer business we have done.

We lose our best player but just one player.

Assuming we buy someone like Lamela to replace him... 85 million plus Coentrao.. I'd snap their hands off.

1st Team LB, and...

We could buy Lamela for 30 million at age 21 and assuming he continues his progress (i know i know big if) but if he doesn't bust in the prem, we could potentially sell him for double that much.

Also buy Eriksen for 13 million (maybe less on last year of his contract) who is also 21, and we'd be in for a serious sell on fee in about 5 years time if Levy so decides...

All 3 players would go into the squad straight away if Bale were to leave, and 2 are aged 21. Best part is, we'd still have 40 million left over from Bale to cover the rest of our transfers. And we all know Levy will sign these guys on 5 year deals so we wouldn't need worry about letting a players contract run down to 1 year like Ajax have. If we could somehow pull all this off we'd set ourselves up to be title contenders for a few years to come.

Deal is not DONE FACT he wants to go we don't mind selling but on our terms says the man on a boat
We are spending money because we have it to spend

OK sorry to go against other ITK's only offer we had is £85m in installments plus FC and it was not even in writing, turned down flat, due to price and installments, yes people at the club privately think a deal would be done but they have never said it is, infact nothing new as of this morning and a deal looking less likely.

In addition Bale has been surly and childish but the press twist everything and exaggerate even more. All the stories come from Marca and Barnett so what do you expect, yersterday AVB gave an extensive interview in which Bale was mentioned for one min, every press outlet misquoted him on purpose and ignored the rest.

Then we have to agree the same installment plan with the other clubs

It could be his only option to i) stay in the EPL, ii) stay in London and iii) get some matchtime in a WC year.

Fulham's not an option now they've got Bent.

I know that you keep banging this drum because you don't rate him but I expect him to be with us this season. We'd struggle to sign better than him as third choice and there are plenty of other strikers getting selected for England who are not first choice for their clubs. He'll get enough game time with us to show what he can do.

How do you think we settle the costs of transfers?

I meant the same installment plan, most deals are 50% upfront and then the balance over the term of the contract. Sounds like RM want to pay in 5/6 equal installments so we wouldn't have the 50% only about 20% upfront meaning we would have to either agree the same payment structure with the other clubs or only buy 1 or 2 players

This is complete BS. How can a deal have been done when Calderon made the comments which he did yesterday

Id be surprised if there's any set way in which we plan out the payments of our transfers mate, id imagine each deal is unique to the other and there's no set 50% up front

Absolute flimflam. Bale isn't going anywhere.

This....

The 50 Million of the transfers dealings has so far is come out of Joe Lewis's very own pocket :lol:chough :^)

Oh well....perhaps we should get a real sugar daddy into this club..or continue to loose our world class players
each season!!!!!!!!!!!...fcuk ........................................it makes me sick.

Then we have to agree the same installment plan with the other clubs

Thats why i said 'for arguments sake, lets say we are on all this windows purchases as well.' ie same structure.
Basically it was just an illustration that for the sale of bale, RM effectively buy all those other players for us.

It won't go down to deadline day though. The Spanish window closes a few days before ours.

Didnt know that, even better, a few days less to wait until this crap is over, so Bale could end up playing v Arsenal if the Spanish shuts before ours and he hasnt moved?
