what has happened to the transfer section?

Cesc Fabregas will look for a return to the Premier League if he is sold by Barcelona this summer

Cheeky bid ???

we need a finisher, we need a goal sniffer, we need Jordan Rhodes

He is a genuine poacher, has scored 11 goals mainly from the bench in a relegated side, wouldnt be a bad number 3 or 4 for not much cash

the clever thing wth him is his constant movement in the box. He is never static. Puts the the two planks Ade and Defoe to shame

Adam La Fondre? dear me that would be a travesty if those are the type of players we target in the summer.

Read end of my post as a number 3 or 4 striker !!! so why not unless Coulibaby or Coulthirst could maybe be promoted to the 1st team squad, obviously id want a better striker for the main positions, jeez weve been crying out for a quality striker for so long now

Signing someone who's average at best won't help with that.

We need players that are either clear upgrades on what we've got or young players with the potential to become clear upgrades on what we got.

From what I've heard about Coulibaby from youth team watchers he's been unimpressive, has fallen out with coaches because of his Defoe-like performances (i.e. not being involved for 89 minutes of games), was loaned abroad because of homesickness and is now under threat of having his work permit revoked. So that's not really looking promising.

Coulthirst seems more a genuine prospect though. Apparently he has been playing left of the front 3 this season, which could be useful for us (i.e. having a genuine inside forward in the sort of Sturridge/Walcott mould).

Jeez just looked up that Lucas Barrios someone mentioned a couple of pages back, 6ft 2, age 28 in his prime with a 1 in 2 record at Dortmund then moved to the Chinese league. What is going on there. Was linked with a £17m move to Chelsea before he went there too and Fulham tried to get him.

Wonder if we could tempt him away but mind you maybe if he has an attitude like that we don't want him anyway.

Now don't scoff, but for the Mata / Cazorla / Silva -type player most of us think we need, what about.... Shaun Maloney? 9 assists for the 14th-highest scorers in the league, and every time I see Wigan play he looks good.

I said the same a few posts above yours. Yeah he's 30 and not a glamorous name but he's a far more intelligent and incisive player than anyone else we have.

Remy for £6m..we should be all over that

Questionable attitude though, was headed for Saudi Sportswashing Machine and then went to QPR for the money. On top of that he has a poor injury record and has missed quite a few games with hamstring problems this season. To round it off he has threatened to retire twice and suffers from a bit of depression.

Decent player but I'd stay well away - seems like a younger version of Defoe.

Definitely. Flog Adebayor to Monaco and we might also might be a few quid up

Easier said than done.

Ade will want to continue to earn his £180k a month and City's deal will only be honoured during his existing contract, so not only have we got to find a club that will be willing to match his current wages it's got to be one he is actually willing to move to, or I could see him just refusing to move on. Chances are it's more likely we'll see Ade at Spurs for the remainder of his contract even if he turns into a bit part player.
