Emmanuel Adebayor - Officially gone \o/

Its AVB's problem and I trust AVB to manage it for the short term and long term. Especially since what we know is just from one or two interviews.

No, it's not long. I'm not suggesting that Ade or any of the players involved should have got over it.

What I am suggesting is that there was no immediate need, this week, to deal with any issues arising from that incident. It could and should be done on the players' time, in the off season. It shouldn't be done on Spurs' time, at a crucial stage of the season.

I agree.

A lot of people go through personal or work related problems - including murders etc.
They have to pick themselves up and get on with life and job.
Ade and other sportspeople are no different. At least they have the financial means to deal with these
issues. Normal people don't.
Whatever the problem he MAY have had can be dealt at other times - not in the middle of the season
when we have NO strikers.

Now wait for him to score a brace. COYS.

Has he turned up for training today?

Is he fit and healthy and brimming with brio. And ready to fight for THFC for the second half of the season?

These questions will soon all be answered.

Twitter seems to think he's missed his flight

POTL on COYS: Due to return tonight, hasn't taken part in the session today. See what the gaffer does in the morning.

If he doesn't show up or play, I'd be disappointed in him. On the other hand, this could all be a clever gambit by AVB.

It certainly gives Alain Pardieu a mystery to solve regarding which Spurs team he'll face and what tactics to use.

If he was brick-hot or on great form, then you'd probably stick him in regardless of when he returns, but his form has been so spectacularly poor that the idea of him getting off a plane and playing within 24h seems absurd. If he isn't back by now I wouldn't bother with him tomorrow.
