***Tottenham Hotspur vs West Brom*** Official Match Thread

Do you think Parker deserves to start after his recent performances?
What is the point in having a squad if you cant rotate?

Slate me all you want but at the moment Livermore isnt far off Parker.

Livermore not far off Parker hahahahahahahahahhhahah oh man. I'll give him 2 games until a thread is made with 6 or so pages claiming he isn't even premiership class.

KD - I did say that I dont think Livermore is far off Parker at the moment
He has just returned from a long term injury. Maybe he needs a bit more time to regain fitness.

Im not question his ability, just his form.

Good result for Spurs today. Everton dropping points, Chelsea dropping points. Arsenal winning but I always expected them to and I still expect them to be the ones challenging us for fourth.

We HAVE to make it count tomorrow though, simple as that. One of those games where we go to West Brom and draw or lose. They aren't on the best form but we seriously have to go there and win tomorrow. Would see us go a point behind Chelsea and in there form, who knows what could happen with them in the next few fixtures.

The Most Mustest-Win Match Of The Season.

Until the next one.

Absolutely!!

It was handy the other teams dropping points today but IT IS IN OUR OWN HANDS to get third and right now that is what I am expecting. If I could demand it-I would do that 'n'all!!!!

given results thus far, this is an absolute nailed on mustard win. no two ways about it.

i hope we go for a central midfield trio of the moose, the sig and harry holtby.. no worries with goals then and no danger of blood curdling brainless pirouetting on the ball.

We can win this, WBA haven't been known for their excellent defensive displays so let's hope that we can punish any frailties that they display.

Thats my X1 for today, will take that result too, although it will be nailbiting, when is it not though wherre Spurs are concerned?
On the road at 11, not a big of the Hawthorns, just dont get why they make us walk all the way around the back of the ground, only to bring us back onto the main road into the opposite flow of the home fans

It pretty much picks itself really the team today if all fit..

Have a safe journey and hopefully you will see us get 3 points, it always seems a decent atmosphere at the Hawthorns

This is a must win match for us, surely. After going 3 league matches without a win, we need to get back to winning ways. Fortunately, other teams have not taken advantage of our 3 match winless run. But we cannot always rely on other results as Everton and Arsenal have closed the gap on us. Performance is not really important in this match as long as we win it. We have a good record against WBA in recent times, winning 3 and drawing 3 of our last 6 matches against them. We need to extend that good record.

We need an early goal to settle us down and then a second goal to kill of WBA in this match. Lack of goals have been the main reason for our 4 match winless run which includes the FA Cup defeat to Leeds. Our goals have dried up especialy from our main striker Defoe. I think Defoe badly needs to score in this match to get back his confidence. Dempsey did well to score 2 goals during this run but he needs to be more clinical in front of goal. Our chances of winning this match will be greater if both Defoe and Dempsey scored. Hope they will work together more instead of trying to score from impossible positions.

We have relied too much on Bale to win us matches this season. With us not signing any new striker, we will have to rely even more on Bale for the remaining matches. Bale scored a brilliant goal against Norwich. Hope that goal have boosted his confidence after being poor since returning from suspension. Our performance are influenced by how Bale plays every time. So, hope Bale will play well in this match. Still not sure what Holtby will bring to the team. Can't see him starting this match but hope he will come on and lift the team if and when needed. Want to see Dembele and Lennon involve more in our attacks. For all his hardwork and skills, Lennon should be scoring more goals for us. Similialy, Dembele should be contributing more to our attacks as he has no goal or assist in more than 10 matches now.

Our weakest link has been our defence this season. Just when you think we have overcome our defensive problems, we always concede soft goals. I think until Kaboul returns, we just cannot be solid in defence. Dawson, Caulker and Gallas have always been error prone. You just can't blame Vertonghen for struggling when being paired with one of those. It will help if Walker, Naughton or BAE concentrate more on defence rather than attacks. Just hope Lloris will organize the defence more to stop conceding those silly goals. If we can keep a clean sheet, we would have half won this match.

After going without a win in 3 league matches, it is time for us to get back on winning ways. We should be beating teams like WBA home or away if we want to have any hopes of a top 4 finish. With Everton and Arsenal closing the gap on us, only a win will be acceptable in this match !

I'll settle for a repeat of last season. One of the best away days I have experienced, after the Etihad CL night

Any official team news yet ?

Feel very nervous about this match. We badly need to win to get back on track in the top 4 race. Hope the players step up and win the match comfortably.

OS reported Huddlestone and Gallas back in contention, only players not available Sandro and Kaboul.

Good news that we have a near-full sqaud to choose from, but a little worried we havent had any recent updates on Kabouls progress. I know it was mentioned a few weeks back that he might return late Feb, but I fear he is going to be out for the season
