Good idea really, display at 6pm for families and kids then another at midnight on the quayside for drunks.

Would like to get to sleep but for some reason my neighbours have put on their europop trance cd at volume 25, awesome not had music on all night now they do, with that the 10p Aldi fireworks going off outside its going to be a long night...

I have just been for a slap up meal with Mrs Southcote, then back to mine to see the New Year in with a flute or two of bubbly, now watching John Bishop on the TV (decent comedian). Will get some shut eye before heading off to WHL later on 'today' to see the mighty Spurs.

Lovely day here in Canada. Spent the morning and early afternoon just north of here skiing with my brother and sister and their kids. At least 60 centimetres of fresh fluffy stuff down over Xmas hols.

Home now in the big city, Mrs Norf pleasantly adrift after a spot of marital maintainence. That followed a lovely glass or two of a fine Spanish Mencia red wine and, courtesy of my nephew, a lovely spliff of black hash. Another couple rolled and ready and we'll soon be toddling off to a neighbour's house for a street get-together. (We're five hours behind you)

Sadly, only other football fan on the street is a Chelsea supporter. And a bad one at that. Only follows them if something big is on. Safe to say, I won't be talking sport tonight. Happy New Year, all.
