***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Kings Road WAN KERS - Sat, 5.30pm, Stamford S**thole***

Wow, I’ve been positive on the direction of the club and the team but was not expecting that level of performance today. Amazing. Makes it all the more frustrating in some ways that we didn’t beat United, because it was a similar level of being a class above. And in theory on two of the toughest away trips we will have.

To a man, we were absolutely fantastic. Hard to call out any individuals but thought Van Hecke was amazing in the air. The team overall with the one touch, and in winning our duels, brilliant. Kudus holding it up. And Tel, so so happy for him.

Special mention for the terrible performance of the Chelsea players. They were clearly not expecting that either. Colwill losing his brick at the linesman because Solanke wasn’t flagged offside when he was clearly on. Belestra trying to get Kudus sent off just after Palmer went, when it was a completely fair tackle, and he just stayed on the floor play acting.

And Palmer…I think it is completely ridiculous that Bentancur gets ‘violent conduct’ for leaning his head slightly forward after being pushed to the ground with force. But Palmer gets away with a yellow for running up fell speed and hip checking someone in the face. Make it make sense!

As for Palmer’s red, Lee Dixon on US comms was saying he didn’t even think it was a second yellow! Probably the worst piece of co-comms I’ve ever heard. Seriously, not debating a straight red, it was a clear as day second yellow, when you consider what else passes for yellow and red these days. Literal quote ‘where else is he supposed to put his foot’. Unbelievable. Thought the Chelsea players lost their heads afterwards and there was some frankly odd behaviour towards Gallagher.

Lastly, hope Madders won’t be out too long. The one touch, the flicks around the corner under pressure, really makes the system work in possession.

As I said above, this weekend would be very timely to put that official vote of no confidence into PGMOL. Do it when we've beaten the 12th man and the entire VAR team at Stockley Park rather then when they've cost us. Demand to know why 2 red cards became 2 yellow cards and why our player is serving a 3 match suspension. Demand to know why either incident wasn't reviewed to see if the yellow should have been upgraded to red. That is the new rules after all.

I dont know why we won't kick up a stink. It baffles me, it really does. EVERY WEEK

Just watched MOTD, absolutely class from Tel. He has that in him.

Fascinating how Bentancur gets a red for a centimetre of movement towards someone's head who came in hot, whereas Palmer can just body a player on his knees and that's a yellow. Truly fascinating. I like Palmer as a player and a character but not a fan of his actions there at all.
