Richarlison

Indeed, when he said Spence wanted to leave nobody accused him of throwing Spence under the bus.
There’s quite clearly a difference between the Spence, Danso and Sarr comments to him saying Richarlson has asked to leave too many times, the insinuation is he can’t wait to leave and is being a pest about it.

So if I’m thinking ahead about bets to place for our game against Everton in a couple of weeks, any suggestions as to who might score against us… 🤔

He got two against Everton tbf. It is written. I hope the haters at least find some dry humour in it!

Part of me is glad if he leaves, we'll only hear twice a season how useless he is rather than every single game from the same cluster of posters looking for validation, crying about his haircut because they won't ever be a sexy bastard like Richy.

Selling the top scorer by choice three seasons in a row seems like quite a unique series of events. And our replacements don't seem to fill the void at CF, especially if Solanke gets injured again. But maybe RDZ's plan is through false 9s and a lot of rotation across the front line, if that's the case it'll take a while to adjust to the style of play. The worry being, that De Zerbi got better form with the relegation contenders of last season than a team that are going to be weighed down by price tags if they can't win football games. It's still early days of course, it's just ideally we'd look good rather than not across the course of two league games. If we just want to look decent against Charlton and the likes, we probably should have gone down the relegation route..

Yeah but I think it’s the ‘too many’ that might have been lost in translation.

Yes, we need better. Quite obviously. Pretending otherwise because some people don’t like hearing it isn’t going to magically turn an average squad into a top-four one. I mean he couldn’t even get into the most recent Brazil World Cup squad, and the Brazil team at the moment is crap.

We’re not a top-four contender. We have far too many players who are, at best, bottom-half calibre. That’s not being negative, it’s looking at the squad without rose-tinted glasses.

And if we can’t have a proper, honest discussion about players like “Richy” and “Vic” without everyone immediately jumping in to defend them, then what exactly is the point of the forum?

Are we genuinely still doing the “everyone’s brilliant, nobody needs replacing” routine after 2 consecutive years finishing in 17th place? Because if that’s the standard, we may as well just close the forum and start handing out participation medals.

Players need upgrading. That’s how football works. Sentimentality won’t get us into the top four.
