Unless Ndiaye is really just "the cheap option"/some kind of Richi swap deal (and that in itself is an issue), not sure why we would go for him.

This team needs height and goals, Gapko is ahead imo on both of those.

Savio and Odobert are our Ndiaye-style tricky wingers. Kudus is also excellent in this regard., and Tel is coming on in leaps and bounds with beating his man.

We need height, strength and an eye for goal.
 
I think we need to just trust De Zerbi over this, I don’t think any of us definitely know where and how he intends to use Savio or Marmoush at this point, and if Gakpo is a player who he has wanted all summer there is a plan and a role for him.

I think that plan would be to quite often play him as a 9. Theoretically we could have some serious ability in that front 4 with him as the CF as appose to Richy/Solanke.
 
Il take the better player that’s 5ft7 in the position of need over the 6ft4 player in the position where we are now stacked and our 2 most promising youth talents primarily play.

That’s what I’ve been saying
There are a LOT and assumptions as to how RDZ wants us us to play that imo we cannot be sure on
We haven’t seen much of a style or pattern so far to know enough imo
And relating everything back to his past may be what he wants now that he has control and money spent on him

I know you were being facetious but since we have several players capable of playing the 8/10 role in Tonali, Fernandes, Bergvall and Gallagher, why can’t we play a 4-3-3 using Bentancur as the dedicated #6 with two of the above either side?

No need to play a system designed around a #10 if we don’t have a fit one available.

Because he has played there once or twice I guess…
For me the money we’re spending has to be on better players than we have
Gakpo is a very good player
But I don’t think he is a better CF than what we have
Is he better on the left than what we have… yes for me
But I think there are better deals to be done and someone like MGW is just a better player for me
