I don't think it's that we can't. I just don't think we will sign 3 new hybrid LWF/CFs, on top of already having at least one (Tel) already.

If we sign another player it will be a RB, a CF or a #10

It does seem strange after so many seasons, I've notice "nepo-babies" seems to have disappeared from the vocabulary recently.

Simons may start training again in October but I wouldn’t expect him near ready to play first team football till the spring.

Odobert won’t be ready till after Xmas too.

Expect both to have setbacks during their comebacks too so I would prepare to play this whole season without any kid of meaningful contributions from either.

Lets see. Because they are both lighter and younger than Bents/Dragusin/Maddison, I think they might make quicker returns

That's true but not from me. 😉

I think with Gakpo I'm just not bothered now with him. I'm fairly satisfied with what we have. It's obviously not perfect but I feel happy enough to evaluate what we have now, and to make additions in the winter/summer based on what we see. We've made so many changes there is a danger of there being too much flux and it never really settling.

I know some people want to aim for the stars this season and honestly I can't begrudge that but I think we just need a decent season, minimal injuries and see what we are now. Top 8 but leaning more towards top 6 would satisfy me.

Savio isn't a £75m attacker if we play him on the right. You will be disappointed long term if that's what we do with him. That is exactly the way City played him and why he failed. He's so much better, more expressive and less one dimensional played on the left hand side.

That's what I don't understand. Surely we won't spend 75 mill on someone to sit on the bench, and why would he want to join? And if he's our main striker, where does that leave Marmoush, and if he's meant as our main left wing, where does that leave Kudus/Savio? I don't get this one.
