In that case same for me tooIf we signed Jackson it would be £60M+ and we wouldn’t sign another #9. It’s a no for me.

So why doesn't Alonso value that if he's for sale?I wasn’t suggesting that we are. I was just trying to emphasise the point that those in the game value highly the ability of a player to get into positions to have goalscoring chances.
So why doesn't Alonso value that if he's for sale?
Osimhen's salary is 350% more than Jackson.Chelsea value him at £65m … the same value that Galatasaray have put on Osimhen.![]()
Personally i think one of the main reasons they're selling him is because he's a saleable asset that will bring in a big fee. They need to cover all this cash they've been splashing aroundCould be he values other stylistic and tactics metrics? You see it all the time, managers like certain players stylistically, not everyone wants the same.
He has positives and downsides for me, he clearly gets goals, quick and great on counter, bad is his touch is horrific
I guess I'm just bored of buying other (good) teams cast-offs. I want us to buy players on the way up, not gamble on players on the way down.Could be he values other stylistic and tactics metrics? You see it all the time, managers like certain players stylistically, not everyone wants the same.

I think calling his touch horrific is a bit inaccurate. I'd say his touch is inconsistent. At times the ball bounces off him and he looks rather clumsy at other times his touch is very soft and he moves and links it really well.Could be he values other stylistic and tactics metrics? Yeh, similar thoughts, just offering a different perspectiveI guess I'm just bored of buying other (good) teams cast-offs. I want us to buy players on the way up, not gamble on players on the way down.

I wouldn't say Jackson is on the way down, he's kind of neutral, neither on the wane nor neccesarily on the upward curve.I guess I'm just bored of buying other (good) teams cast-offs. I want us to buy players on the way up, not gamble on players on the way down.
Lol yeah that's actually a fairly decent comparison. So he is paulo wanchope
Did you choose to ignore my previous post?So why doesn't Alonso value that if he's for sale?
Yeah, one has a red toothbrush and the other has a green one.Osimhen's salary is 350% more than Jackson.
Id assume no PL club would match Osimens wages of reported 500k a week.Osimhen's salary is 350% more than Jackson.

But if he reall wanted to play in the PL he might be amenable to a pay cut. I mean whats a mere 200k a week among friends?
Yes i meant 200k off the 500No issue making him the highest paid play would be above £275k
Well there's a hell of alot of teams turning their noses up at '90% Kane', for 60% of Kanes transfer and wages.Did you choose to ignore my previous post?
Not sure why you're trying to claim he is "90% Kane"? I posted some stats that show his open play goals for Bayern last season was only 10% less than Harry Kane's, that is just one aspect (though goals are obviously an important metric for centre forwards)Well there's a hell of alot of teams turning their noses up at '90% Kane', for 60% of Kanes transfer and wages.

Do I think Jackson would be 'value' at £60 odd million? Not really no.
Do I think he would do a better job in De Zerbi's system than the strikers we have at the club at the moment? Yes, I think he would.
What do I think he is worth in an even market? Probably about £45 to 50 million. He has lots of good attributes and posts good goal and assist per 90 numbers.
Can I see anyone else out there that we would have a chance of signing for similar or less money than Jackson would cost that I think would have a good chance of better goal and assist per 90 numbers than Jackson? I'm not sure I can to be honest.
Who would you bring in instead?
