Nah, you might have had a point if this was a one off, but since he came into the team he has pulled of a number of spectacular saves. His fast reflexes have absolutely nothing to do with luck

The Wolves save and today’s yes. The Leeds save was completely different.

It is not that I am not suggesting that we should not buy another GK, however I think I may be in the minority on here because I would be happy for him to be our first choice number 1, next season.

I think that's become the majority position over the last few games mate.

This kid stood up when it mattered. He was humiliated on the world stage against Atleti - things like that break men. To have the mental strength to just plug away and come back, make the saves he did, show the assurance on the ball that he has done...it shows he has real steel in him. And that's probably the most important thing for a goalkeeper. Whatever happens, you need to get up and save the next one.

He's no Lloris, but he's sufficient. If it were up to me I'd bring in an experienced keeper on a free or a low fee (Ortega, Darlow, Johnstone), just as an insurance policy, and then let the kid start next year as our #1. He's earned it.

He done more than enough to warrant being our number one next year. It’s not emotional. But he will grow after this season. What a guy!

Imagine him at full confidence and command.

Just need an experienced back up to cover. Let him have the spot.

He has stepped up fantastically, and demonstrated his mental strength.

Don't want to be negative about him at all, just have this nagging feeling that we still need to purchase a quality no.1 - he has been behind the sticks here for such a short period of time, teams will begin to suss out weaknesses in the longer term. But if RDZ decides he is the guy I'm not going to complain....

agree except for the vicario part - he must leave, he is not that good a keeper and more importantly increases anxiety in defence

Agree with you. He also seems completely unaware of his faults and his constant shouting and lack of chill on the ball unsettles the defence. He’s one of the reasons we’ve are down the table.

Thought his celebration with RDZ was weird too.

Not sure, he's done a job and RDZ was a 100% correct not to change him in last game or two, but I don't see him as an undisputed #1

Be much more comfortable if Vic goes (Seems he will), and we buy someone Kinsky would have to fight for that #1 spot with.
He has the ability and is young.
I'd prefer an experienced head to come in and help him develop who can play if things take a dip.

His shot stopping still needs improving.
And I think that comes down to positioning - his positioning isn't quite PL standard yet.

Even the save yesterday - good save, but it looked better because of his positioning.
He was too close to his near post - if that shot was half a metre wider he doesn't save it unless his positioning is better.
The rest of his game makes up for that weakness - and his ability on the ball makes him the perfect RDZ keeper, as does his mentality
