Antonin Kinsky

Why do you say that? He's in the right place and he reacts brilliantly. For me luck is when you're in position and the striker hits it right at you. Kinsky had to move his hands quick to get that decisive touch. I thought it was a magnificent save.
Goalkeeper positioning is the skill. A great keeper isn't making saves diving halfway across their goal. The great keepers are already positioned to make the minimum movement to make the save.

You are not wrong but that’s almost a basic of what I except from a Prem keeper. That Vicario wouldn’t do it is part of why I don’t rate him. He makes saves look spectacular because of poor positioning.

In this case with Kinsky the ball is going at such speed, for his hand to connect is pure fortune and half an inch higher, lower ot to either side and it’s a goal.

he still needed to react and push upwards - i saw quick reactions and strong hands and totally fearless stance which all comes from kinsky.
vicario may have good reactions but i always doubted his hand strength and always felt he was afraid of getting hit by faces or players.

This makes total sense.

Matej Kovar is the current Czech number 1 and there are 2 more keepers that have been on the bench in recent international games. Even if Kinsky displaces one of them then he's unlikely to play in the WC. CZ will then go out at some stage and he'd still need the op, missing pre-season and risking any chance of being our number 1 next season.

Kovar is 26 so if Kinsky has any ambition of being their number 1 then he needs to be fit and playing well.

It would be different if your name is Pickford, Donnarumma, Courtios etc. You'd probably put country first.

Great save at the end from him. Good concentration considering he didn't have a lot to do today.

I'm in two minds whether we should get the 1st team shirt next season or if we should go for a 1st team goalkeeper and have them fight it out.

very good keeper, kinsky is good enough to be our starting keeper
glad that dezerbi decided so even though vicario is fit

Not sure, he's done a job and RDZ was a 100% correct not to change him in last game or two, but I don't see him as an undisputed #1

Be much more comfortable if Vic goes (Seems he will), and we buy someone Kinsky would have to fight for that #1 spot with.

It's hard to evaluate his performances in recent games as we've not been under a lot of pressure from opponents. He's done ok. What has impressed me is his mental strength to come back from the experience in Madrid, Paul Robinson never recovered from the England game where Neville dropped him in it.

I think we need to look at the position with a level head in a few weeks once the dust has settled.

I think he's been absolutely outstanding, but can he do it long term?

Like you I'm on the fence, what can RDZ do with him over the summer? He's done well with keepers in the PL before.

Nah, you might have had a point if this was a one off, but since he came into the team he has pulled of a number of spectacular saves. His fast reflexes have absolutely nothing to do with luck
