The *WHEN* we go down thread

I fear people are writing off West Ham against the Goons too easily. There is likely a twist or two to go in the title race yet, and they have to worry about Atletico before going to West Ham, who have upset them a few times - and we've just seen how having a full week to prepare for league game against a team with cup distractions helps.

Of course all thing being equal the Goons will win, but I don't think it's the foregone conclusion some do. Fingers crossed the goons don't bottle this game (yuk)....

Am I wrong in thinking they have a fairly decent record against them too? In my head I remember some winners from Zamora and a few more recent results. Plus West Ham are at home and not away.

They've won away a couple of times to them recently, lost last couple of times to them at home. But all in all West Ham have decent form for getting a shock result against one of the big boys (not just vs us!) so I'm not ruling them out for sure....

West Ham and Forest fans talking about corruption. Some are convinced money was exchanged tonight.

Hilarious really considering the amount of bad decisions we've had go against us this season and teams no doubt putting in more effort against us than either of them.

Unless WH win their next 2 games and we dont get a point v Leeds at least Chelsea wont be able to relegate us. Would have loathed that, as it is, we are back in with a massive shout of survival now.
Shame Brighton got that late goal

Funny that, I was thinking the same when Forest somehow won 5-0 at Sunderland??

It's nothing that wouldn't get said on here by some if roles were reversed and we needed Villa to turn up against one of our rivals and they put out that team and performance.

Having browsed various other cubs forums, it's funny how similar all football fans actually are - despite the 'Yeah but we are better than club x fans' you find literally the same comments on every clubs forums...

I guess so.

I mean I can sort of see why Forest fans would think it would benefit Villa for us to win this evening as it puts more pressure on Forest vs Chelsea tomorrow.

Still, as mentioned in this thread Sunderland appeared to lay down for Forest only recently

🤣.....I see you.....this is your defence mechanism act?

Let's rewind to your Brentford woe posts a couple of days back :)

Pull yourself together man!

That discussion wasn't about Brentford specifically - it was about West Ham's next three games and how people were predicting they'd get next to nothing from them - I still think they could for sure, but hopefully not.

1 down, 2 to go :D...

Funny How Forest didn't care when they smashed our rested/rotated team last season

That is a bloody reach though. Sort of thing you might expect a gangster chairman to pull off. *Cough* of course there’s no one like that involved in the relegation battle. Hope Villa smash those fudgers on Thursday.
