Forum tradition demands a The Good, The Bad & The Ugly style three-way face off outside the Corner Pin.No and happy to prove it however that would be done.

I’d completely forgotten meeting at the corner pin for a face off! Ahh the good old days of GGForum tradition demands a The Good, The Bad & The Ugly style three-way face off outside the Corner Pin.
Not sure if it’s ever been discussed in this thread. But wouldn’t be at all shocked to see Levy return leading a consortium?
The new owners would save money not having to buy out his 30% and they have the most qualified person in the world to run the club for them.
Wouldn’t he well recieved by the fanbase of course. But one big spending summer transfer window and the PR spin would be “Levy always wanted to be more ambitious and Lewis wouldn’t let him”.

I think that's the best outcome for us. Levy fronting Nasser Al-Khelaifi's money.
Just someone who actually cares a bit buffering the inevitable sports washing or asset stripping.
I’m not so sure. I’ve been largely supportive of Levy but I think he is a naturally cautious operator and to imagine him suddenly becoming more free-spending is wishful thinking imo.Not sure if it’s ever been discussed in this thread. You don’t stay as a 1/3 owner of an investment company for as many years as he has if you disagree with the investment strategy. Yes he would have liked more to spend as we know from when he managed to wrangle the loan out of Joe Lewis but I think that was the exception.
I think you'll find that if the other 70% of the consortium come with a bottomless wheelbarrow of cash .....the naysayers won't give a fudge. Not sure if it’s ever been discussed in this thread. But wouldn’t be at all shocked to see Levy return leading a consortium?

That's easy to circumvent, like Saudi Sportswashing Machine and Chelsea doWould be be allowed to have that level of ownership in 2 clubs?

Fundamentally Levy has 3 options
- Sell, get out
- Wait it out, see what happens (he does know the long game)
- Find capital investors (and he's talked to many over the years) and try to purchase
It really depends (and he would know) what these owners really want to do, if they actually want to keep the club vs. they think they could do better and sell for more short term, he'd have an idea. And if it came down to negotiations on the value of Spurs, I know where I'd put my money.
He achieved his objective, he closed the financial/infrastructure gap between Spurs and top 4 massively and put us in a position to push on. I'd assume if he came back, the only objective would be on field success (he won't be able to reproduce the level of equity growth again), and he would need more money that would have to come from the new investors.
To come back to do same old same old makes no sense, and he took a lot of personal heat/hate for his role. I would say, similar to why people want Poch, you can say all the bad things about Levy, it would be disingenuous to say he didn't care. I'm not sure any of us feel confident to say the same about current group.
