Fantastic book! Surprised to see it pop up on here.Train dreams. Watch it. A beautiful movie.
Also read the book, which is even better.
Maybe there's hope for us GG'ers after all.Fantastic book! Surprised to see it pop up on here.
The book is so obscure I was wondering if the film was even the same story. You might like Stoner (or might have already read it) as I think it has a similar feel. It has nothing to do with marijuana by the way.Maybe there's hope for us GG'ers after all.As in most cases, the book is better (IMO), but they did a great job adapting it for the big screen too. Great acting and interesting characters. William H. Macy delivers another great performance, which reminds me I really have to watch Boogie Nights again. And Fargo.
Kindle version going for a song on Amazon at the momentTrain dreams. Watch it. A beautiful movie.

I have and I did - quite a few years back, though, so might be time for a reread. Great book. The book is so obscure I was wondering if the film was even the same story. Watched Threads yesterday. 1980's low budget British film about what nuclear war would look like. Low budget, but brilliant. Very disturbing. Highly recommend.
We shouldn't do that.
Then watched Oppenheimer on the iPlayer....more great acting from Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey.
Thought it was great. Wouldn't be in a rush to watch it again, but wouldn't say no either. What did you think of the film itself? The acting was spot on but just the subject for me was a tough watch, not really into it enough for it to watch a second time.
I found it an interesting insight into the motivations and desperations of war...and how far it will push people. What did you think of the film itself? The acting was spot on but just the subject for me was a tough watch, not really into it enough for it to watch a second time.

It’s nearly time lads for the film of the year!

Tickets sales for the upcoming Melania Trump documentary look set to be shockingly bad at UK cinemas.
On Friday, Amazon will release Melania, its documentary all about the first lady of the United States, in more than 100 UK cinemas.
But a total of seven tickets have been sold for the first two screenings on Friday afternoon at Vue’s flagship London venue.
Meanwhile, screenings in locations such as Blackburn, Doncaster, Leeds and Nottingham have so far sold no tickets.
Vue’s chief executive has described tickets sales for the film as ‘soft.’
You can say that again!

Nah...Don't think Donald makes an appearance.Does she get her tit out?
Allegedly it’s some form bribery/ money laundering scam. Not sure what be is is getting in return if trueWhy the hell would you put it on in cinemas? People might watch it on tv but hardly anyone was ever going to pay to watch it.
Would it improve things.Does she get her tit out?
That's the joke.Nah...Don't think Donald makes an appearance.
The studios sometimes make cinemas take things as packages - you can have 100 screenings of Bone Temple but only if you show 90 of Melania etc. Then if the cinemas dont show them, they get financial penalties. Trump has his accolytes in several of the big Hollywood studiosWhy the hell would you put it on in cinemas? People might watch it on tv but hardly anyone was ever going to pay to watch it.
