Dressing room poison though isnt he?Would Garnacho be worthwhile?
Ticks the HG criteria, works hard and can play right side or left side.
Seems to be holding on for Chelsea but if we can get him for £40m or loan then I think we could do a lot worse.
Not sure GB, good player imo.Dressing room poison though isnt he?
He doesn’t know either. Not sure GB, good player imo.
He's not better than anything we got already, and we're not short of association trained players. We need club trained player to fill up the UEFA quota.Would Garnacho be worthwhile?

I think scenarios like that are just dreamt up on football forums to be honest
What if we don't want him (know he won't come) and just trying to get Real to buy him so we can get Savinho?
Maybe the Biss sale has put an extra £10m in our coffers to enable this?

Transfers don't really work like that. You can finance a transfer over years, realistically up to the length of the players contract, but then that means you've got less in the coffers for each year. What i'm saying is we don't likely need player sales to go through to put an extra £10m on the table as £10m over 3-5 years is relative peanutsMaybe the Biss sale has put an extra £10m in our coffers to enable this?
We might have set a notional figure though, say £150m plus sales. And under that self imposed fiscal rule, Biss going allows us to meet both City and Como's magic figures?Transfers don't really work like that. I think its more a squad structure (foreign v home grown blah blah) and wages thing rather than a transfer fee thing. We might have set a notional figure though, say £150m plus sales. And under that self imposed fiscal rule, Biss going allows us to meet both City and Como's magic figures?
Rather get Savinho if possible, than a Lo Celso mk 2.

He's physically finished, he wouldn't cope in the mid block high press variation we are playing this season. Once a fantastic player, but father time has gotten to him.Ilkay Gündoğan, anyone? Seeking a move, by accounts, and availability at a figure of around €5m has been mooted. Reported to favour a return to the Bundesliga, but his level of experience and track record of winning could be a useful example to our cadre of young CMs at that price, perhaps? No longer a priority position, obviously. Just a thought.
As will just about every player in the world.
I don't really get the 'highlights reel player' description for Paqueta. He works hard, always shows for the ball and always tries to do something positive on the ball. I think he could be a really good option for a lock picker at Spurs in games where we're likely to have most of the possession and playing our football on front of a deep, set defence with few gaps.
Spot on with both imo Finney. See it very similarly.I have a friend who supports West Ham, lovely fella and very knowledgeable about football (has his UEFA B badge).
I remember him saying to me last season that West Ham have three really good players who he felt would all look even better at a club who had better players for them to play with. Those three were Bowen, Kudus and Paqueta. He said that Paqueta sees passes that other players do not see and also that his first touch is superb and that allows him the time to execute a good pass.
Note that I don't think we'll sign Paqueta as West Ham wouldn't want to lose another one of their best players to Spurs and I don't think we'd put together a big enough bid to make West Ham change their minds about that. I think that if we did get him though he would be a good fit for a Frank team and would allow us to play a slightly different way against certain teams.
I'm still rather hopeful on Tel, but would rather see us not spend any more than panic and just buy someone. Would be disappointing to not sign anyone else for sure, but wasting money would be the worst outcome by far.I hope that we don’t buy just for the sake of buying, I’m already dubious about money wasted on Tel.
I’d rather buy the right player
