U23s, Academy and Loanees

Seems like a lot of loans have all been worked on and ready to go.. I hope some permanent outs are also nearly done!

Doesn't seem it. Only Son. Gil and Solomon are injured and there's not been much about Biss other than the Juve story. Richy and Davies we can't let go unless replacements arrive.

Head coach Russell Martin could have made two changes to his group but Spurs’ Mikey Moore, who joined on loan last week, is not listed. The 17-year-old is still awaiting international clearance, and it is understood that can take longer for younger players.

Interesting that Notts County, Stoke and Aberdeen feature again in our loan arrangements.

I guess I'll be waiting for Westerlo or AZ Alkmaar to feature again if we do need to find overseas loans.

I think it's progressive managers, rather than familiar clubs, we look for. Rowlett, Martin etc. Kenny Jackett was another we'd always send our players to, whichever club he was at.

Didn't we hire a guy (Andy Scoulding?) to have complete oversight on all these Spurs loans? He is the link between Lange, the player and the other club and spends loads of time monitoring our own players in their loan spells. I reckon that would be a critical role to build the relationships.

He’s moving from one association and country to another. The UK doesn’t have a UEFA/FIFA status so I presume it’s treated like any other inter-country move, by the rules.

Yet within the eu an u18 player can mover freely due to freedom of movement laws. Vuscovic did. Going to belgium on loan.

But we are not in the EU?
Sorry, not being deliberately obstructive, just trying to get the logic.

No we're in the uk. You can freely move from croatia to belgium under the rules but not england to scotland? That's what i'm saying is messed up about the rules.
Doesn't matter for moore as he'll be 18 on the 11th. But it's messed up.

Was just replying when I saw your post.
Seems transfers within EU are permitted under certain criteria, but this would not apply to the UK. However there is a post Brexit exemption "which states that players aged between 16-18 can transfer “between two associations within the same country”. This would enable players from the four UK football associations – England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland – to transfer between each other from the age of 16 onwards."

So it seems it's just formalities that still need to be met which for unknown reasons still take time to complete. I don't disagree that it appears to be messed up, or at best, convoluted.
