Transfermarket says primary position is 10, but sometimes plays on the left.
True. For England Tucel played Eze as a second striker. I recon Eze would be better on the right than as a striker tho. Left suits him best imo as he can cut in on his favoured foot and shoot. But he could play a range of different positions. Coming in off the left is probably optimal, but who knows.

Haven't seen Eze play off the right but bet he's like every other right footer whose touted as able to and about 30% of the himself when moved there. We need players in their right positions. Even Son who is very two footed hasn't played off the right in over five years.

If there was ever a player that should play for Spurs is Eze, streaky, doesn’t always turn up for games, doesn’t influence the game to match his ability, but he will put in some class performances and we will all think how amazing he is. Not worth the money. I would be looking at Wharton over Eze

I think Eze is being massively mis-profiled here. Many are talking about him being an option for the left and yes he is but that really not his primary position. If you've largely seen him for England you might think that's his role but he plays centrally for Palace (while favouring the left of centre) and all his good work, performances goals, assists etc have come while playing that centre role. If you even watch a compilation of his best bits you'll notice the pattern of him working from the middle. We won't be buying Eze to start as our LWF, he would be coming in as a left of centre attacker and realistically as direct competition for Maddison and Kulu.

I'm not sure if hes the best option to be honest because he would certainly add dynamism and ball retention to the forward area but like mentioned he's not really a dictator and has never really shown a consistent thread of the needle style through ball to be a main stay in his game.

I suppose it's all still up in the air until we see how Frank really intends to set us out (there is a brick ton of assumptions being made), but I think he would thrive in a big spaces type team as opposed to a one that regularly faces off against massed closed passing lanes defensive sides.

I think Eze and Maddison are a bit identikit. I think Eze is slightly better, and a bit younger, but I'm not overwhelmed by the need to twist. Kulu is also better than both in that role IMO.

I think we fund Eze by selling son and Solomon

Can't like it, but yes it seems pragmatic. As much as I'd love to see Eze linking up with Son (could play as a second striker) we know how our club is run and to toss away circa 30m now, for one more season of an aging Son is not pragmatic. Better to get 50% of Eze's cost back, and then have more to invest. Makes sense. But will be so sad to see Son go, would have been nice to see him finish he career here.

Everything seems to be aligned that way
All would come down to who really wants Sonny and his choices of course
We would be replacing Sonny with one of the few guys who is nearly as good a finisher IMO (Sonny was arguably best on the planet for 6-7 years)
If we can get a large chunk of the eze fee I think it finally just stacks up and I think fans will see how much of a “real” spurs player he is

I think we need to know Frank's formation and tactics to really understand which players can do what.

I think Frank will play the double piviot midfield and Solanke up front. Now where the other 3 go, who knows. He's always been quite happy for Rico Henry to provide the width on the left and stretch teams. That has left Eze to go wide or go central based on the play. He's also had license to get into very advanced areas. So did Olise and Mbuemo in the same line-up but they all grafted together.

Makes you wonder how he will organise our existing attacking talent to get the sum of the parts working.

Could all be done, with us keeping it sthum until after the lucrative tour of Asia. I agree Eze has some similarities to Son. A bit streaky. Capable of brilliance on their day. Someone like Poch found Son's sweet spot, can Frank and his team find Eze's? Tbf Mourinho also got the best out of Son too.

The best son we saw was under conte
Very different football to what I’m hoping Frank plays, but who knows
Eze is great at getting that separation form his man (something Sonny used to be great at too)
I think we need a real mix of players for Frank
