*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Sheffield Utd ***

Back from the game, so frustrating to so great.

Ref was diabolical, genuinely the first time I have ever felt like I was watching match fixing, the non penalty, the keeper handling ball outside area, the constant fouling and constant breaking up of play, the giving them the ball when a second ball was in play from our corner, their keeper clearly saved a shot from Solomon, goal kick, the shot Vicario saved from a cross that was clearly out, on and fudging on. SU with the flimflam (at least 3 times) a player going down, getting medical treatment then being subbed so they don't serve the 90 seconds off the pitch (this needs to be looked at)

Team played it's ass off for the full 105+ minutes, game probably should have been killed off early but circumstances didn't help.

The subs contributed and importantly the subs are so different (Solomon vs. Perisic, Son vs. Richi, normally I'd expect Deki vs. Johnson), the balls to take off VDV.

Notable mentions, Vicario is getting better, claiming the ball, quick distribution, great save. Bissouma & Maddison again, VDV, fudging ridiculous double tackle at one point to recover, Solomon definitely has a part to play in the squad.

Atmosphere was amazing, quick fudge you to the asshat in the row behind me bitching about "angeball" and "where was it" for good part of second half, this is why people think Spurs fans are fickle

Their keeper was booked for that.

Their keeper was booked for that.

Handball outside box = red card, not yellow, not the ref's call, he fudging bottled it

And in the 2nd half on one his kick outs the ball was still in his hand outside box, both ref and linesman missed it (and he was already on yellow at that point)

Only in the case of a clear goal scoring opportunity I believe.

My understanding (could be wrong) is if a keeper handles outside box, regardless it's a red. Otherwise keepers will just come out of their box, handle the ball and take the yellow all day long.

Like I say, I think it has to be denying a clear goal scoring opportunity, which seeing as Kulu was on his own in the corner it probably wasn’t.

Pretty sure Hugo only got a yellow the last time he did that too.

btw, that asshat of a manger for SU actually blamed the loss on the ref? seriously fudger?

He’s a muppet, getting sacked soon, he’s clearly at the “haven’t got a clue stage”.

Also, is he suggesting we are the first ever team to adjust our defensive stance based on opposition shape?

Huge if true.

They were never getting booed iMO
Every one near me in the south was really happy that we were just keeping on going
We when all seen it before but no one’s heads dropped
That says a lot to fans
When your there
When your literally part of the game
The physically investment is draining
It’s all part of the collective as seen at the end when we sang free from desire and angels
It’s very different for fans watching in tele (I know I feel different for sure) because you can’t impact the game
You can be more “critical” watching on tv
But you can’t beat the feeling of being there when it happens. My hip hurts and so does by shoulder form going mad for that winner

My son and grandson were like a couple of drunks in the car on the way home, makes a big change from last year where a lot of games were silent journeys with the radio switched off.

I know they’re newly promoted and will fight for all the points they can get but fudge me what a two bob brickhouse outfit they were today.

Ref had zero control of the game and let them do as they pleased.

fudge em and up the Spurs, great win, great attitude, great vibes.
They'll likely stay up because of it, while Burnley and Luton dont have that grit

I don’t mind teams time wasting, stopping the opposition is as valid a way of playing as anything you do with the ball.

They did a good job for 90 mins, the new laws on added on time are clear.

They bottled it in injury time and only have themselves to blame, left Richi unmarked from a corner and tried to play out too cleverly before we got the winner.

As bad as the ref was, and he was diabolical, it was our fault we got to 90 mins 1-0 down, and their fault they didn’t see it out.

Time wasting is against the rules and is a bookable offence.
