Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

The style of football has been great and for the first time in what feels like forever it’s enjoyable. Ange speaks well and that’s also enjoyable.

Think tho at best we finish 6/7 place in the league. Think we will struggle against the better sides in league. Usual suspects and I fear a pasting here and there.

Next season will be the one where there will be expectation to deliver. A major concern this season is we are still light at CB and need a CF. If we don’t get that done it’s going to cause issues. We are an injury at CB away from looking weak there again. As for CF links nothing. BJ from forest is odd as he’s a WF and he does not look like a player we should be spending 50 million on that’s mental. So unless we sign a couple this week it’s no doubt going to hamper progress and dampen the enjoyment of the first three games.

Hope we do deliver a couple more signings for Ange as we could well have a decent season.

I think the 1 game a week situation looks made for us this season. Almost all (ie teams usually in Europe) have benefitted massively from it when they have skipped Europe for a season.

It will also help with injuries (overuse, muscle, ligament injuries etc), but, I agree, we are thin at CH and CF. So, buy for those positions and we genuinely have a chance of top 4.

What I'm liking is both ManU and Bournemouth looked like they'd submitted to us, either through not coping with our style of play or just our physicalness/fitness, or a bit of both. If that can translate to us having a high chance of winning against the 'easy' teams, we might be able to suffer a few humbling defeats and still finish high up the league

I think there's been enough in the first three games to indicate we are not going to be in the trouble some of the pundits and doom merchants on here suggested post Kane. That to me means whatever the outcome of this season is building towards next year.

I instantly lost respect for anyone that spouted that crap. It's deeply flawed analysis to say "Well Spurs minus Kane's 30 goals equals bottom half". Kane is irreplaceable but there was always going to be a different dynamic around the team this year and other players were always going to step in to the void.

Tomorrow night is first real test, Cup Tottenham is going to be an important Tottenham moving forward, Ange has set out that the game is important.

Yes one game a week will help us. Still think top 6 is achievable but need to add a CB and CF in order to do that.

Here’s hoping to a strong season.

It’s like people thought we were going to play with 10 men every week.

I like most of the fans i know are happy/ excited about our performances so far under Ange and its really good to leave the ground with a smile on my face once again ( its has been a long time in all honesty). However there will be games which/where the new system will fail to get results and there will be downtimes. It is a work in progress and as much as i would like to see us start winning things i would be surprised if it happens overnight.s

But i hope we all can see the progress Ange has shown us and not put expectaion/ time line on that happening overnight.

Absolutely but I have to say I am almost overwhelmed by the sheer influence that Ange has had on things in general and the speed in which he has done it. There is part of me that is almost now willing to forgo the results to an extent if the obvious cultural changes continue to take place and bed in. The way he has spoken, the way people speak about him (in numbers I have not seen of any manager in a long time) and the fact he is prepared to stick a flag in the sand and be proud to be at the club. I just don't think its appreciated how much we have needed that a the club for a long time.

Some of it comes from the players fab has brought in, but ange has been a breath of fresh air and cleared out the unbelievers in the dressing room.
We don't look like we fear anyone.
Early days of course and our confidence might take a knock or two, but I don't think it would take long to bounce.
Look at Bissouma and maddison, not great seasons last year, but you wouldn't think it.
