Cheatski are still scum

The rules are changing anyway. To be more in line with uefas new rules. Just haggling with the efl to agree.

I recall some getting giddy over how everything was going to fall apart for them with the sanctions. I'm guessing that collapse is just around the corner, as it always inevitably will be.

If this new batch fail they'll just spin the wheel again next season. From a neutral point of view (which is nigh impossible to take when it comes to Chelsea) it'll be interesting to see if Poch can thrive with the kind of backing he has had but lord I hope it goes tits up for them and him. Clusterfudge levels of tits up ideally.

I'm sure there's some FFP experts that can explain how this is all totally fine but if that's the case than the rules are the problem. If a club can happily pay a fine and still splurge almost a billion in a couple of seasons, I don't know, starting to wonder what the point is... It's not healthy to have the level of dislike i do for Chelsea but it seems a justified one rather than the childish "hating a team became they're nearby".

I read today their downfall comes potentially if these players turn to duds and they can't be moved on apparently, especially when the rules get tighter in year 2/3 (no idea if thats true as I am no FFP expert either) I can imagine giving a player 8 years or any long contract also gives incentive to stay longer than their shelf life, if having this number of players at these costs does not come with some potential financial pitfall then you are right, the rules don't add up.

Read the post I put on previous page

Basically by a combination of sales (most rigged via Saudi) and amortization, and being willing to play on the very edge of FFP they "may" get away with it this year but the position looks completely fudged for the next 2-3 years

That of course is assuming they will get anything but a slap on the wrist for egregious violations of FFP

Similar to our away performance at Brentford, no? Spurs already playing some exciting football under Ange?

Good analysis of the Che-live game here. Its Poch and will be familiar to us.

If was a good test for poch although Liverpool are still looking for replacements. More intriguing with Caicedo and Lavia refusing Liverpool for Chelsea... Guess young players are easily attracted to Poch.

I believe Chelsea will challenge for top 4 this season.

I've attempted to read it with my morning brain, it does seem to be in line with my "The collapse apparently is round the corner but won't ever arrive" prediction but that could be an oversimplification. If the fine is like the last one then it makes no odds as they'll be more than happy to pay it so the cycle continues.

Insane wages / length of contract coupled with bewildering levels of spending for a club with a small income + no CL income, maybe I'm just not making the effort to make it make sense but I don't want it to..

I actually thought both teams looked poor for stretches of the game, both can be quite open (even more so than us)

My personal take is that I think they're gambling on player inflation to continue at a high rate.

It's the only way this can work - that or every purchase being a roaringly successful one with none of the players doing an Mbappe and waiting out their loooong contracts.

Yes, but as it is now, unless they're extremely lucky, it's a bit like tinkling your pants to keep warm.
