Harry Kane MBE

Do you think he has the movement and fitness to player there full time? Or would it not be a problem? Part of me thinks it will happen at some point and part of me thinks the way he floats about and doesn't risk tackles anymore might be an issue. Although I guess it would depend on those around him

I think he needs less of that than he will do to continue at #9. Look at the explosive pressing Richarlison could offer a Poch team from 9; that's not Kane any more.

But as you get older, your stamina increasing while your pace fades. So being in the middle of things, rather than getting beyond defenders, will probably suit him well.

Harry Kane: "Before the Sheffield United game, the season could have been a whole lot different. If you go through there, you take that momentum into the league game [at Wolves] and this game. But I feel like that loss last week put a dagger in our hearts and as you can see we haven't really recovered from that”

So now we've just been dumped out of the CL, what the hell should we expect against Forest tomorrow?

Its been pretty obvious to me that is where he will end his playing days, Sheringham was the same during his time here. Kane has not got the pace or speed anymore but his brain is still first class and would be a major player for us there.

More and more it seems that those of us who said it was mad to rest players for the FA Cup game are being proved right.

Casual, run of the mill Harry game, 2 goals ..

Thought the team should have pushed for his hattrick.

Couple of points in second half where I felt he had half a chance and he tried to feed Richi (think the team wanted him to score)

Yeah it's been so long since he got a hat trick. Rarely gets a brace thesedays. Seems to get goals in ones now.
I really thought after he got his second, with an hour left, at home to a poor Forest side, that he could get at least three.
What an opportunity lost.

IIRC there was a decent pen shout in the 2nd half that wasnt even looked at. but as has been mentioned it was good that he and the team were trying to get Richarlison a goal more than Harry another hat-trick

Sky are reporting an ‘exclusive’ that Kane would sign a new deal if Poch or Tuchel were appointed. I would guess that would also include Enrique. They are also reporting he wouldn’t be interested in another ‘project’ that I guess would apply to lesser known prospect managers like de zerbi and the celtic manager.

I would be intrigued by Enrique as he is of the calibre of Mourinho and Conte but plays a much more attacking brand of football. I like Tuchel but am unsure what his football would be like with such horrific options to choose from at the back. Poch always welcome.

I don't believe it because they mention Tuchel....

Maybe cynically I don't see Kane saying get me Poch and Tuchel and I stay....

I’m not sure I see him signing a new contract under any circumstances. I think it will suit Harry to go into his final year and have the pick of clubs on a pre-contract in January. If we’ve employed a good manager and given them considerable funds to improve the team and we’re doing well then he could choose to extend with us at that point instead of going elsewhere
