***OMT TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Liverpool***

That was my point they were not clear chances but they were bypassing our midfield with ease. They had plenty of time and space.
And did nothing with it
I’m fine with that
Diers errors though was similar he did away at anfield a few years ago where he put salah through

They had 3 or 4 opportunities. Whether they got the shot off doesn't matter, they had the potential moments.

Not really
I mean we have defenders there to defend
If they have the ball and we defend it we have down our jobs surely

they had the Nunez shot where he made royal look like a pub player and then the goal where salah had 4 men around him but all applauding his shot

Have to admit that I haven't seen what the fuss was about regarding Royal, but he's not that bad. The stick he got in the stadium was sad to watch, and you could see that it impacted him. As they say, boo them in pubs and message boards, not at the game.

The grief Royal got was disgusting. And as bad as Diers error was, he got booed next time he got on the ball. Mind boggling. Some of our fans need a look in the mirror.

It really doesn’t help players
But then… if your a pro footballer you should be able to kick a ball much better

On your last paragraph: the goalies also regularly hold the ball for well upwards of 10 seconds on many if not most occasions.

A few indirect free kicks in box would liven things up a bit.

And it seems kicking the ball away or holding then throwing away it is allowed again, wasting more time.
Agreed. (I think it was) Salah kicks the ball away first half which wasn’t punished and then (maybe) TAA in the second? It seems like if they only kick it away 10 or 20 yards it doesn’t count.

the premier league has GOT to stop the time wasting that is robbing fans of hours and hours of ‘entertainment’. That second half featured a goal, multiple substitutions, multiple ‘injuries’ and flagrant time wasting and yet they added On just 4 minutes. Further, during the 4 minutes of added time there was further time wasting and yet the referee blew up after 4 minutes? It’s SO easy to stop, so why dont they do it?
The minute the 1st division became Premier League, it stopped being a contest and started being a product. For a product to become marketable, you have to make some "adjustments" to maximize profitability. Like the NBA when a Canadian team played in and won the finals, the viewers and thus the profit were cut by half. Not going to happen again soon if they can do anything about it. Not even saying it's about favouritism, it's about the controversy and "excitement".

yes they play a part, but that goes for every team, even other top teams. I don't think there's some conspiracy against Tottenham or any other leading side in the league. If anything the "smaller" clubs in this league, as in every other league, suffer because of an inherent bias. But I dont think as a big club we can cry foul on that score.
I also don’t think there is a conspiracy. But when a ref is inconsistent and doesn’t penalize certain fouls, it impacts a game. And that is what I saw happen today. The two Trent shoves on Sess, exhibit A amongst many. And those ref decisions shouldn’t be the thing that swings the result. But they are not right.

I know it will not happen in January but we must target getting some quality defenders in. We are pretty much covered for the midfield and attack when everyone is fit. Udogie should come in next year and Sess will become a squad player. I think we need 2 more quality centre backs and maybe a more creative midfielder and hopefully we will not be too bad. We should be looking for a long term replacement for Hugo too. Thought Allison did not look like the keeper he was last year either

When it’s the same officials from the day before who endorse the Emirates Marketing Project game penalty you have to ask
Same as the ref vs Saudi Sportswashing Machine was the one who on VAr overturned the West Ham goal vs Chelsea
How can they see similar things so differently so quickly

Only got to watch the last half an hour.

Seems like we played ok-ish in the first half? At least created some chances and not like they created a ton.

Can take a lot of positives from what I did see, but things are frustrating at the moment. One more league game before the WC break. Been a slog this part of the season, hopefully the break will do us well and then we can hopefully add a bit of needed quality in January. There are so many good players and so much potential in this squad and with this manager. Real shame if we can't start releasing that potential soon.

Wednesday I’m happy for conte to play kids and Forster with Hugo up front
It’s a shambles to think that the next round of thag cup is 3 days after the WC final

Here’s a question for you. Lenglet centrally when Romero comes back and Dier sits on the bench ?
Wouldn’t argue with it
But we need that extra CB to replace Sanchez asap
I’d we can sign someone like Bastoni and keep lenglet that’s 3 players who can play left and 2 of them central, similarly keep Dier and Romero and get in another to play central and that’s a big upgrade

Agreed on new CBs needed.

Lenglet has had odd wobble but he’s the best passer of our defenders by a mile.so he should play

Would not hurt to give that 3 a try.

Another thing is I was all for VAR but I think I am not alone raging about the inconsistent decisions week in week out. I would not like to be a ref and expect the odd bad or wrong decision but with VAR available it beggars belief. Probably every fan of every club could echo this.
Bloody lines drawn across the pitch on a frozen still picture to see Harrys elbow or whatever is in front of the defender to disallow a goal. And it takes them 3 or 4 minutes to view it from every angle to come to the conclusion. What happened to clear and obvious mistake?
