***OMT TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Liverpool***

Stuck in the inevitable post match traffic but some initial reflections on today:

We are our own worst enemy. Gifted two goals to them today.

they are an awful side: a faded shadow of what they were just a year ago.

if Dier goes to the WC England is in trouble. He was quite simply the only person in the stadium that thought that header was a good idea.

we actually played fairly well. We were unlucky (woodwork twice) and it seemed like every ricochet and spin of the ball favoured them.

their much vaunted travelling support was embarrassingly quiet for most of that match. I acknowledge that it can be hard to hear the away section from the south stand, but you should be able to hear something, at some point.

The referee was extremely weak and quite frankly poor. So, a standard EPL refereeing performance.

the premier league has GOT to stop the time wasting that is robbing fans of hours and hours of ‘entertainment’. That second half featured a goal, multiple substitutions, multiple ‘injuries’ and flagrant time wasting and yet they added On just 4 minutes. Further, during the 4 minutes of added time there was further time wasting and yet the referee blew up after 4 minutes? It’s SO easy to stop, so why dont they do it?

The header was fine
It’s normal
The fact he fluffed it so what made it look so bad
 
We just can’t keep playing like that in the first half hour of games .
2-0 down in our last four league games is an embarrassment.

Hopefully Kulu being back and Richy possibly next week our fortunes may change but Leeds will be tough they come at you. We could smash them if we play properly for 90 minutes.

yes they play a part, but that goes for every team, even other top teams. I don't think there's some conspiracy against Tottenham or any other leading side in the league. If anything the "smaller" clubs in this league, as in every other league, suffer because of an inherent bias. But I dont think as a big club we can cry foul on that score.

On your last paragraph: the goalies also regularly hold the ball for well upwards of 10 seconds on many if not most occasions.

A few indirect free kicks in box would liven things up a bit.

And it seems kicking the ball away or holding then throwing away it is allowed again, wasting more time.
