*** OMT We are MASSIVE FC v Tottenham Hotspur ***

You'd start to question playing last season's Golden Boot winner already?

The problem with strikers is you never know which game is going to be the one they produce the goods.

Our so-called 'streaky' Son was not only the highest scorer from open play in the PL last season but also by some distance the most consistent. To illustrate this I posted on here the record of every top striker in the PL, game by game, revealing they all had several longer runs without scoring then the South Korean. The very fact these other strikers all continued to be played week in week out despite their goal famines suggests their managers recognised the importance of sticking with them, knowing their patience would be rewarded in the long run.

Surely therefore it's time to get off Son's back and instead start giving him the support he has earned?

Saying a player who is underperforming can be replaced by a summer signing that was signed to add options and depth for this very same scenario does not equate to me "getting on Son's back". Have you seen our fixture list over the next few weeks? Have you heard of maximising the use of a squad to keep the TEAM as effective as possible or keeping players who are not playing at their best on their toes?
I take you don't believe we should buy additional players for the Spurs squad AND use them?
In fact, is there ANY scenario that you would have Son start on the bench (save for him being injured or not fully fit)?

Will be interesting to see how much rotation we see this evening, with Fulham at home and Forest away in the league cup up next we may see those two games as a double-header that we can use to make changes whilst keeping the current XI in place tonight.

Obviously we're likely to see Bissouma in for the injured Bentancur but other than that i expect it to remain the same.

Lloris
Sanchez Dier Davies
Royal Bissouma Hojbjerg Perisic
Kulusevski Kane Son

What do you mean Forest in the league cup next??
Did you mean to write Marseille in the CL?

Personally, i think we might see Richarlison start tonight before Son is brought on in last 20-odd minutes vs tired Spam legs and then be out back in starting line-up vs Fulham..

i had assumed that was our next midweek game - that throws my thinking in that post out of the window.

Though i still think we'll stick with the current team (with Bissouma) this evening. If we are going to rotate in Richarlson it will be v Fulham

Son loves a goal vs West Ham so would make sense to give him a shot here even though he has been pretty poor this season so far. I say it’s pretty much a certainty Richarlison will get his full debut against Fulham if Conte doesn’t select him to start tonight….

I have a feeling this is the game that we get punished for our performances so far this season.
