In your opinion. Serious discussion = agrees with your opinion.

Most of the topics aren't serious. The weekday football threat is like a virtual pub!!

So basically what we are saying here is that

a) People are allowed to slag off Redknapp and slag off those who stick up for Redknapp
b) People who want to stick up for Redknapp should shut the fudge up and not air their views.

Hmmm, that would be hypocrisy and that makes you number two! \o/

no that's not what im saying at all and you know it - people are allowed to make a post that contains a dig or a negative about Redknapp (or anyone for that matter) without fear of the cavalry riding in and dissecting what they've just said - im talking about general posts that aren't within the discussion of Redknapp here - these general throw away comments are the ones that inevitably lead to a full blow argument - just let it slide ffs not everything needs to be turned in to an anti/pro debate

And youre saying the negativists should keep quiet and not allowed to posts and ruin the threads for the loaylists?

That makes you number three!

He who does not know therefore cannot know what he does and is forever trapped in an unending cycle for he does not know that he knows what he knows

Not at all. Serious discussion involves exactly that. No slagging off of anyone for a start. No comments about the way someone looks, or snide remarks such as "MOTD players" etc. Serious discussion is backed up by facts and figures, and then them facts and figures drilled down to the finer details.

So basically - nothing bad about arry?

What about your constant slagging of Kaboul, Bae and walker?

What does that make you?

I love this forum but IMO people get too sensitive at times especially when others disagree with them.

On Redknapp though I honestly think there's behind the scenes goings on behind him and Levy that we'll never know about. Just a hunch but I don't think all is as rosy as Henry makes out.

It's not going to happen though is it? Totman said on another thread it's exactly like it was on here when Hoddle was in charge, and he is right. There are about six or seven posters who have to be involved, negatively, in any Redknapp thread. They try and gang up on anyone daring to suggest Redknapp is doing a good job and the thread turns into my favourite buttplug.

Unfortunately whether it's reality or perception of a few, Redknapp is a divisive figure on this forum and the vocal minority are far louder than the silent majority.

Its funny that you see it that way, because to me it looks just the opposite.

Agreed. To be honest, I was expecting him to be fired after the two Manchester games earlier this season. Was quite surprised he survived them. I've personally had the hunch that Levy has been waiting (maybe even setting up) for Redknapp to fail so he can be publically justified in getting rid of him. He knows he can't risk another Jol fiasco though, so is biding his time.

I'd say there are about three or four of us that stick up for Harry against the constant barrage of abuse he gets. In return there are about a dozen posters who have to dig at Harry in every single thread. Unfortunately that number does appear to be growing.

Do you think levy was happy to not get champs league? Obviously helps his cunning plan??

Is your role in life to defend Harry? I heard he's just appointed Stretford as his agent, I'd chip in if I were you!! ;)

No, I would imagine he was furious. The reason why Jol was booted was because he failed to break top four in his second season (the fact it wasn't Jol's fault IMO and was more down to Comolli not buying a DM is irrelevant. It's the same this season, with us being unable to secure the services of a forward in January). Redknapp got us that top four, but I believe Levy has wanted Redknapp out for the last couple of seasons.

If having a opinion about Redknapp in a Redknapp thread is ok for his supporters then it is only fair if his doubters can have one too, as for your numbers i do not think you have counted that up right either.

Who did we have that season who could play DM? Didn't we have Zokora, Carrick, Thudd, Tainio, Brown? Just remembering that's all can't remember a lack of a DM causing problems? You might just have a better memory than me though I'll always remember, apart from lasagnegate, letting in late goals costing us top 4 that season.

Carrick left. Zokora was purchased as his replacement but clearly wasn't a holding player. None of the others you mention were holding midfielders either. The closest was Tainio but he was never fit, and was never really a defensive midfielder anyway.

You, Leeds, Arcspace, nayim, parklane1, gutterboy, rossi22, sheffieldspur, afan (aberyid) and that's just off the top of my head!
