Yeah, Winks hasn't been bad, but he can't do what N'dombele can, and without a player who can receive the ball and link up with our attackers, we're just going to keep on hoofing it without result, it seems. Lo Celso can play some piercing passes, but I reckon N'dombele is better at receiving the ball while under pressure, and doing something positive with it.

If Dele was actually contributing in the no 10 position then it would be ok

Dunno what’s more annoying...

Aurier’s persistence of reckless tackling or J Carraghers co commentary...

Alli should have scored early on, the office would have been overruled.

We need to use possession well. A few too many times we go back or miss a pass and city of course then dominate possession.

LoCelco started well. Sanchez needs confidence. New geezer looks decent.

We have to use possession better to score

Sterling should be off twice now

Stonewall red on Alli and then the second yellow for dive.

Can’t give a yellow in VAR

Another massive flaw

We’ve done ok - only issues are from our own errors

Well let’s hope second half we actually have more productive attacks. 9 shots to 1 against us so far? Embarrassing at home.

I'm thinking Dele needs to drop more when we have the ball. Winks and Lo Celso are knocking it about between them, drawing players in before going back to the CB's who have no outlet except eachother.

Still steaming over Aurier and it winds me up more the more I see it. And he's played well other than that but there is no defending that challenge.

He has no business being in our first 11. He's an accident going to happen in every bloody game.

VAR doesn’t change the fact that for the second penalty decision there has to be one, it’s either a foul or a dive, a penalty or a booking.

Strange thing about it is, if Dean had given the yellow on field for diving - and then VAR changed it to a pen, could the yellow be reversed on Sterling?
