Christian Eriksen

Biggest laugh of the day is that some fans are actually being bitter about Eriksen wanting to leave and IF he goes to Inter say they are not a big club. 39 trophys they have won and for any to say he is not bettering himself is really sour grapes by them.
Yeah, it’s almost as embarrassing as I hear when Spammers say that they’re a bigger club than us

No one bid for him last summer, even when it was clear that we'd accept a reduced fee.

I think that form is more complex than that.
Was it clear? Most stories seemed to suggest Levy was demanding over £100 million at the start of the summer and still wanting £70 odd million in August.

I understand your comments i do and can say it could have been done better, but i do not really believe we are a bigger club then Inter and ( imo) he his/may be going to a club that has won 39 trophys ( including 6 European ones ). Listen i am not the biggest fan of the Italian game but the pace will suit him down to the ground and i would be amazed if he is not a hit there. ( Assuming that is where he goes).

Historically I think inter are undoubtedly a bigger club than us, but at the moment no, I don't think so.
As we seem to maybe hitting a dip and they are gearing up for the future we might Swop places, but at the moment and on very recent past I think we edge it.

Fair enough.

Plus I'd have fudged off the £11m in order to have a rested Dembele for the CL final! Might've had half a chance...

Also gutted for him after all he gave us that he missed a chance to prove himself and influence the biggest game in club football. He deserved the stage. Sad.

We sold him before the knockout stages began

I don't understand how anyone can think we are a bigger club thab Inter Milan?.... it must be all of the trophies we've won in the last few years I suppose?

Their recent trophy haul isn't exactly impressive, and in a much weaker league.

Can't be much worse than zero. Or, one major trophy in the 30 years. In the last 30 years we've won as much as Portsmouth, Wigan and Swansea. Actually, we've also just gone a decade without winning a trophy for the first time in our history.

Quite a sad landmark.

Suppose it depends how long ago you consider recent... in the last decade Inter Milan have won the Champions League, Serie A and 2 Coppa Italia which is more silverware than Tottenham has picked up in Eriksen’s entire lifetime...

Not to mention the fact they're currently joint top of the league.

They had a spell from 2005 to 2011 where Juventus were out of the picture. Before that they had won nothing since 1989, even with an owner throwing his own money at them, and they have won nothing since.

Sorry but that is gonad*s.... In the 1990s Inter won three UEFA Cups, the same number of European trophies in a single decade that we have won in our entire history... I’d love to have a period of winning nothing like that!

According to their own website they haven't won a cup domestic or European since 2010.
In a league that has not been at its strongest, partly due to corruption and financial issues, that's not very good. Especially for one of the traditional big clubs.
At the moment, and I do keep saying that but, we are a bigger draw IMHO.

Bit different from signing for Madrid/Barca !!

Yep, ignoring comparisons with us, it’s a step down to his expectations in the summer, when he turned down United as well, who surely would pay a higher salary than Inter.

Ultimately, is he any closer to winning the European cup at Inter?

He isn’t close to any trophies unless Juve have a mare
The team he is joining isn’t even the biggest in their city and it’s not a nice area to live either... Milan is a real dump of a place but I’m sure there are some lovely areas for millionaires
Odd move IMO. It’s a step down in club stature
