Jose Mourinho - SACKED

Yep - my bad - Sorry chaps

Though I think the point stands - impressions arent always accurate. I think we have done better than people think for the most part, though Chelsea was indeed a bad one.
Chelsea and Southampton were both awful. We were second best by a long, long way in both.

Brighton I thought was an even game overall, we got a win but they deserved a draw. Norwich I thought we played reasonably well. Deserved to win that one and were just undone by a couple of defensive mistakes.

At no point watching the wolves game did I think we would win it. We also had to resort to fouling Traore in order to stop him to the point where 3 players IIRC got booked for it, even Kane got in on the act. Playing hack-a-Traore to me doesn’t show a team being in control of the game.
Traore only got the same treatment that Wolves gave Moura. I agree that a draw was the 'fair' result in that game though.

I didn’t think Southampton deserved to beat us if I’m honest
I think the pen that should have gone to Dele would have changed the game
Also we shouldn’t have lost to Saudi Sportswashing Machine or Leicester as we were the better side there too
ManU defeat also due to brace of errors.

I've not been too happy with the 'new guy' over the past few days!

Then I read this (sorry about the source) and my mood lightened a little.

3: Tottenham
W = 5 | D = 1 | L = 2 | GD = +6 | Pts = 16

I'm assuming that doens't include the last set of fixtures as we've now lost 3 league games under Mourinho (Man Utd, Chelsea and Southampton)

Work in progress, the team ( and we can argue the reasons why) was in a shocking state which ended in Poch being shown the door. The team is still nowhere near the finished articule and it WILL take time to change that.

But I’d we had the ball (which we did) then using other people’s logic we dominated. I mean I couldn’t see where they were getting a goal from until we made a mistake
But once they scored against an abject attempt of resistance from us!
We looked rushed and disjointed!
I’ll say again Jose looked lost akin to Man United version!

Progress looks to have stalled at Southampton! Jose’s style now looks a little dated compared to our competitors.

Sorry mate i am not having a go at you ( honest) but he has only been here for a short period and took over a team that according to a lot of fans on here were finished and brick. For fudges sake he has been here 6 weeks, i guess fans think, consider, hope, expect him to have changed a team that most of them thought was finished.

You could not make it up. And i repeat my post is not meant to offend you but for fudges sake lets get a bit of reality into the real world.

I get it and you can always have go at me. No problem. I was just expecting more! Wrongly maybe!
Fans live in hope!

There's a split on posters on here, only natural.
I don't blame poch or Jose, the squad is what it is because of Levy.
I don't blame Levy for that either, he had other priorities, priorities that will benefit the club much more in the long term.
Where I say Levy is at fault is for not realising that we have been over achieving and that couldn't continue. For what we have spent (or more to the point haven't spent) in transfers and not hit a wall is poor judgement.
On top of that the continued CL and top 4 prize money raked in must exceed all expectations and financial predictions, and you won't continue to get the second without the first.
I'm a big fan of Levy, I think you know that, but I think he has really dropped the ball with the squad this summer.
Not convinced about Jose being the correct appointment , but I can't judge him on this squad, because it's not good enough.

It is fun though teasing the posters who wanted him because poch was under achieving with the third best squad in the league now claim everyone but Harry is brick, and he's done anyway, now claim the squad is holding Jose back.

Some good points made there and i especially like the bolded bit, who would have thought that fans can be fickle.;)

A huge aspect that we will never know the reality about us that during levy’s “busy period” on the ground how much money did we really have to spend... we may well have had cash but we know we didn’t know the end cost of the ground

would levy or Poch have gambled on a big money signing with big money wages to boot knowing what they didn’t know?

Now we have a much greater financial footprint things can be planned accordingly on the playing side. The natural frustration is we may have sacked the best man for the club because of uncontrollable failings and we may not end up better off. We don’t know what we don’t know yet again but that’s football

what is clear is that some of the problems Poch had haven’t gone the way of a miracle cure form Jose. We still have players not pulling their expected weight (could be effort, form, fitness, motivation or other factors) and we have had a very busy spell to test out the players too which IMO can only be a good thing as Jose knows more about the players
