Dele Alli

At least 4 of them want out themselves. 5 if you count Wanyama. That is nearly half the match day first 11. Rather sack them before the manager.

...and the contract situation makes thinking about the current form more difficult. Even if we replace Poch, a new manager is still going to have the same problem with 3 key players able to speak to other clubs in Jan, and our overall policy about players/ages/contracts wont change.

The question is whether the players aren't playing for the manager OR the players aren't playing for the club (because of contract issues)

But the reality is
Two of them are borderline past it and one is being a cbut about remaining
Any new manager and be Poch has a choice to make on Jan as he would sign a contract (he has said so himself)
Toby is a weird one as he doesn’t mention contracts ever and it doesn’t appear the club want to consider negotiating
And we know that Eriksen wants clubs that don’t want him

Right so the new guy would at a minimum have the TOby and Eriksen issues, maybe Jan as well

Perhaps we just need to accept finishing 8th-10th this year, and a lot of churn in the squad in Jan and next summer?

We will finish higher
I’m confident there will be some fixes and maybe the international break will help for once
Doesn’t mean the problems go away mind

A new manager will have the remit to shake things up in a big way, and be able to do what Poch did when he arrived...

If that's the case someone at the club needs to have a long hard look at themselves.
Jan is a bacon sandwich and has been for years.
Toby is done and neither foyth or Sanchez is ready.
We need Jan.

Bacon sandwich.
Also has some clever bugger changed brought to bought.
I've noticed loads of people using bought when it should be brought.

Why doesnt he get a pile of Frank Lampard DVD's to watch,i know he played for those tossers across the river but his scoring record you can't ignore.....why has he sort of changed his game, those back post goals he used to score from balls played to him have long gone, does he sit down and analyse his game with anyone........does he care??.....him and kane over the last year seem to have a fridge on their back when playing, are they eating properly lol....

Because he has been played in CM?

I think Levy should’ve paid myself if Poch wanted him.

Could make sense purely from a fiscal point of view too, as dropping out of CL (which is distinctly possible unless our form turns around soon) will cost us about £60m (plus I see that ManU’s Adidas sponsorship deal has caveat which sees them paid 30% less if they’re out of CL and I assume we have similar clause) which would’ve covered Bruno Fernandez transfer fee plus some change to go towards his wages.

One thing I cannot understand is why people are so annoyed about him getting game time.

How the fudge are players meant to get themself into a match sharp state of mind without actually playing football? It's mental to believe that they could just step in and perform without any football, as shown by how rusty Davies has been in his few appearances this season.

The way I see it, what do they do in a first class game which can’t be simulated in a training/reserve game or virtual reality? It’s just synapse timing and critical thinking.

Surely they play football all day every day in training.

The armed forces, emergency services, nuclear power stations, medical professionals, all hone skills in non live situations on a fraction of the budget we have available.

There's still a step up though. Players that you aren't mates with are going to go through you, that split second in training where someone will pull out so to not injure you or themselves will count. Then there's the difference of having the pressure of an audience, although I expect it's less of a thing for these guys, we still know that hostile away arenas can still mess with a players pysche.

Only 3 bookings in 2019.
Are the pundits who said if you take the nastiness out of his game he'd be a lesser player actually right?
