Mauricio Pochettino - Sacked

Sessegnon will need some time to get acclimatised with the EPL and what Poch demands and Ndombele still needs to settle in the UK!

Dybala, I'm 50/50, he was a shiny new toy which is never unattractive but I'm not convinced.

Sessegnon played a year in the prem last season

The more embedded Sissoko has become in our midfid the worse our performances and results have become. Surprise, surprise. [emoji58]

*Grabs the flame suit and awaits the defensive rude boys*

I agree but it's more we have had less of a contribution from others through both injuries and poor form and also Pochettino has overused him for the previous reasons, it's though not Sissoko fault!

You're right, it's absolutely not Sissoko's fault that he's a significantly worse midfield option than anyone we've had in the last 6 years. It is still because of Sissoko though.

For sure he's not the only reason, but it is just indicative of how our standards have dropped where a player of his standard not only starts but gets plaudits for frankly crap performances.

I hope this season with Ndombele and Lo Celso is the great reset because we need it.

You just can't help yourself, can you?
I have a similar problem when it comes to cinnamon whirls. I just can't get enough of them they are so morish and yummy!

Sissoko is getting liked because he gives his all and does the job to the utmost of his abilty.
No, he is not the most skilful but he never claimed to be. He is though what used to be called 'a grafter' and I love him for that.
He is the yin to Erickesn's yang they complement each other wonderfully

I completely understand (and share) appreciation for the sheer effort Sissoko puts in.

Many people seem to confuse that with actually playing well though. Its a very different thing.

I think the reverse is more case for the type of player he is and the job he does for the team, he is very capable and does the job well.
Sadly our midfield needs his type of player by necessity, it is soft and very porous defensively.
Dier's problems have compounded this IMHO

It doesnt need his type of player at all, it needs decidedly better.

Thankfully we seem to have addressed that issue, its now a case of getting players like Lo Celso and NDombele fit and acclimated.

Football hasn't needed his type of player for decades, it's just taking some people a long time to catch up.

Wasting your time with some mate, there are those who dug such a hole for themselves over Sissoko when he first came here that they are unable to climb out of it no matter how well he plays.

Yeah I know! They do themselves no favours, enjoyment wise, being so negative over these things!

I have exactly the same craving too.

Except for skinny birds with massive norks.
