The Official 2018/19 Premier League Thread

Rose's was faster wasn't it? Made it tough for even a competent keeper to catch
Townsends was 67mph from 29 yards. Roses didn’t seem as fast, but looked to be from closer in.

Hard to tell what a competent keeper could have done though, as there was a complete soggy arse toss-biscuit in goal for the scum that day.

Have we ever racked up enough points to avoid relegation by Christmas before?

Also..It is a little bit annoying that this league is so competitive, in the premier League where would 42pts place us in all previous seasons at Xmas time...someone do the legwork I'm off to bed:):p

Uncanny. 3 seasons ago we play the best football I have seen from us and come across a freak season from Leicester.
2 seasons ago we amass enough pts to have won the title in several of previous seasons, but come cross an impressive Chelsea team with no European football
Last season we have City breaking all records
And now even after our best start to a season after 19 games since 1961 we are still 6pts off top because LFC have had the 4th? Best start in history

We were more unlucky when Chelsea won the league IMO as we got 86 points and still finished 7 points behind them. Plus 65 goal difference too. Before Emirates Marketing Project won it with 100 points, the average points total for winning the league was around 86.2 points.

I don't think we were unlucky when Leicester won it as they won it quite easily in the end whereas we only finished on 70 points IIRC? We were unlucky that all of our rivals had bad seasons but a team came from nowhere as Leicester did but we were only top for about 10 minutes that season.

Well we did win the first 11 games of the season once so that would should have gone a long way to keeping us up!

Thought I'd do a comparison with other leagues.
1st in Spain (Barca 37 after 17 games)
2nd in Germany (Dortmund 42 after 17)
2nd/3rd in Italy (Juve 49, Napoli 41 after 17)
2nd in France (PSG 47 after 17)

GHod damn Mitrovic is so, so brick. Ruins every positive piece of Fulham build-up play, touch of a rapist is being kind... He's a battering ram and nothing more.

Thats a complete joke.

Everything is going their way.Unreal.

Although now they are 6pts clear, if they blow that lead, they will never win it. But no doubt if they do, it wont get bought up by the media time and time again

6 points is nothing with games against Arsenal and City coming up. If they come out the other side of that with a 6 point lead, then it's a different story.
