Moussa Sissoko

Excellent against City. His best performance for us by far imo. In game conditions that suited him. Still wouldn't even have him on the bench for most games if everyone's fit. But positive signs that he can do a job.

Was pleased to see him come on against West Ham!!

The tide has turned.

The time is now.

The new monster Sissoko has been activated.

Whisper it.... #Believe....

Poch has been using him like that for a while, and I think its the best utility of him.

Bring him on late to close things out. His superior physicality against tiring players does the job a treat.

In all seriousness, he was much better than his usual standard last night. Only a couple of really glaring errors and was mostly quite tidy.

The problem with attributing that kick as a pass though is that we all know that if he did the same thing three times in a row, one would be that pass, one would bounce off his left leg and one would be a back pass to our keeper. It's impossible to tell what he means to do because his legs so rarely do that.

I have to assume that his intention is to actually play football well, in which case, he means to do well, but his ratio of well-meaning intention to actual outcome is still on the low side.

I want to believe that he meant it haha

What I like about him is his heart and passion. It would have been easy for him to take all the criticism, and there’s been a LOT, to heart and to disappear. Instead, he turns up and does all that he can. He really isn’t the most technical player but he puts in a shift and I like that about him.

Also his maturity. He was playing the middle, aware of his surrondings, covering at the back, helping to organise the team. It was a mature performance from him. And that run into the box...a few cross field passes...decent. A good game. As I've said since he signed, if he could develop his shooting, and finish at the end of one of those runs, then he'd be a poor mans Bale.
