Spur of the moment

First half, maybe, but second, really? I just did not see that. Both cb’s got turned around a lot, a few lunges and tackles needed as well, considering what a donkey Lukaku is there were too many chances given up.

Will have to have another look and I'd have to agree he generally looks much slower on the turn nowadays but overall, second half he was looking much more like the Toby of two seasons ago.The drop over the top to lingard for example, he got back and made the tackle granted, but that situation shouldn’t arise in the first place.

We missed you and your hair gel, Toby.
Just shows how stupid wanting to sell him to United was/is.
Or how stupid it is to believe the papers and media in transfer windows?Just shows how stupid wanting to sell him to United was/is.

Some of our fans wanted to sell him there because it was more money.
Happy to get more money in and write off a quality player.
That's how I saw it too. I thought he looked very rusty in the first half. Positionally suspect on too many occasions. Much better 2nd half.First-half I thought he and Rose were having awful games, very uncertain. Second-half, miles different, something helped by the whole side pushing up more. Yes, if Toby continues to improve, great, but that first-half was hopefully as poor as he will be this season. He cannot afford 5 minutes like that against the dippers...
