Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

I see roof panels and eaves
The light grey things look like roof panels, they're stacks of something at least and look the same colour as the ones already in place.

Wonder what the drone guy is going to do with himself when he can no longer make Scaff Mag level sexy videos of our magnificent new erection?

ICYMI...

The first LED screen, supplied by @Daktronics, has been completed in the south stand at #SpursNewStadium. ️

Yesterday they were putting in the first access walkway to the sky bridge or whatever it is called.

Yeah. It was, loike, the Norf London Space Program. NLASA.

They had classic rock pounding from the stadium speakers as this big-ass bridge was swung into position. Sounded like something from Guardians To The Galaxy: "Journey to the stars, rock and roll guitaaarrrsss. I like to rock!"

Feels like there is still a long ways to go with little time....got to be ready for end of September?

Still very impressive......we will soon start to here 'we even "bottled" the the building of the new f#vking stadium' from the pitchfork phalanx!

There doesn't appear to be any doubt about us being ready. As long as the test events enable us to get the safety certificate, (and we wouldn't hold them before being ready to do so), then all looks on course.
Tremendous work.

I wonder what these ticketed test events will be?

Getting the roof on (with lighting up) will be a big milestone. Next seeing the pitch working will be another big piece. Finally having all the glass in, and cladding up, making the concourse watertight will be a key stage. All the landscaping around the stadium, and the other buildings around the stadium like the hotel may take longer to complete. But events with food and drink etc from August should be fine. Sort the roof, pitch, a watertight exterior. It sounds like the internal fit out is well underway.

A few options are being considered, ranging from opening training to charity events. First event will focus on crowd safety and stadium management. Support systems where connected are currently under test with no issues.

We’re on schedule.

Will the food and drink places be open for the test events?

Generally, test events are to test all aspects. Not to breaking point, but to prove the sytems are in place and training effective. something like 40,000 would be good for a start - and they will need refreshing so as to prove the capacity of the ablutions, if for no other reason. This might suffice to get all the licences activated.

There might be one near-full scale opening event to show off - I'd hazard a guess at Juniors (managed by Scott Parker?) vs Vets/Legends (managed by Ryan Mason?) - followed by an NFL-type 'game'. Lots of opportunities to 'ooh & aah' and partake of still further refreshments.

If that latter is (as intimated by Chris Cowlin? on 18th August, then you can all come to my 60th birthday party. Bring Bottle & Bird (preferably badger) to Whiffler Stadium, Tottenham High Rd.

PL Season starts Sat 11 August (Comm Shield sun 5th Aug?), and probably 4/5 fixtures up to 1st September - then the International break.

England v Spain – Saturday 8 September 2018 (7.45pm kick-off) - UEFA w@nkfest league

England v Swiss - Tuesday 11 September - friendly

Then ..... let the games commence ! What's the betting it's straight in with a wet Saturday evening against West Brom ?

Not sure when the 18/19 season forecast comes out for PL/EFL/cups/internationals - anyone seen it ? Edit ... previously out mid=may
