Champions League 2017/18

Bollox anyway. I'd rather anyone win the CL but them bindipping clams. Please City, click into gear next week.

Funny thing is, with the way Liverpool play, the second half tonight may have been City's best chance of getting back into the game. Liverpool will probably play a million miles an hour for sixty minutes in Manchester too.

Liverpool did look very organised defensively which was a surprise to me - although it was 10 men behind the ball for much of the second half so defending by numbers rather than any particular individual defensive displays. But they held their ground and frustrated City.
I was disappointed at how panicked City seemed. It was a frantic game and (from when I switched it on late in the first half) they just did not look capable of creating any real threat. They might have got back into it second half but by that time Liverpool had retreated and did what they had to do.
Id expect City to do better in the second leg but it’s probably too late now to turn it around completely.
We can but hope.

I know this won't be popular what with Liverpool being our closest rivals geographically and historically, but I actually wouldn't mind if they knocked Emirates Marketing Project out. Not saying I want them to win it but I certainly don't want that plastic club Emirates Marketing Project to win it. Anyone from Barca, Bayern or Roma would be fine by me.

I don’t want to see City win it either.
But the closer Liverpool get the more nervous I become that they might somehow fluke it.
(Obviously they are not our rivals in the terms you mention but I really just do not like them. No rationale for it, I just don’t).
