He has had a lot of "warm up" time. This really should have been the ideal opportunity for him to start to assess whether he can realistically fill the Eriksen role. Strange team selection for me.

Like I said people were saying he’d be lucky to make the bench when everyone is fit. One player being out and he’s in the first team? Can’t be that far down the pecking order.....

Everyone isn't fit.

Of course he is not that far down the pecking order, he's been a first team regular all season.

Makes no sense. If there’s no formation change then it’s the perfect opportunity to play Lamela. The flip side is there are 2 players ill and you don’t know how many others are affected and can only make the bench. Maybe we’ve gone with the fittest 11.

None of us know how his recovery is going and Poch has spoken a couple of times about him needing to rebuild his confidence.
 
To replace Eriksen with Sissoko means we will be playing like the England National team. 0 creativity.

It means we will press hard from the front. Son and Alli are in good form and provide plenty of creativity.
 
Gonna be tough today, playing with 10 men until the 75th minute when Poch changes it up. Why is Wanyama not playing?
 
I always query our lack of squad strength anytime I see our bench includes 3 defenders as we do today.
 
With the matches due to come after this in the league, avoiding defeat is vital in the push for a CL spot, may even be a 'must win'
