Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

PL (or whoever) can't give us the all clear to play there officially until we have the certificate in place - presumably this means a good 4-5 weeks after the final test event goes ahead, which hasn't even been announced yet, i think early March best case scenario now and most likely not at all this season
Where has that 4/5 week time scale come from, never heard anything like that long mentioned before? The original test events before Liverpool weren’t going to be that far in advance.

Sorry I see jordino beat me to it.

There must deadline for announcing where our home games will be played and it apparently takes a few weeks to get through all the bureaucracy of getting a safety certificate, but hopefully we have a running dialogue with Haringey, police and whoever else is involved and won't have to start the process from scratch once the systems are ready.

IIRC the halfway flags were not on the touchline, but a yard behind it. So the ball would be out of play before it hit the flag.

You can see a halfway line flag around 2:40 into this video from Spain 82.

No, it's just that they are practically useless. The corner flag has some purpose, as it can help to determine if it's corner/goal kick or throw in.
Maybe for a lino to determine if someone is in their own half for offside.

Anyway, next flag related question - can you have a sponsor on them? Seems to be the only place that doesn’t...

Corner flags are part of the pitch, and mucking around with them can incur a booking. Half-way flags are optional so you can fcuk with them at your leisure

Cue the headlines for the first defeat after 100 wins at NWHL ... "Slopey Spurs pay high price for last minute corner"
