I think you certainly could argue it's a goodbye note of sorts. I certainly don't believe his inference that he has been sat by his desk like Oscar Wilde since Sunday trying to find his mojo.

Tottenham are ditching Kyle Walker – but they'll demand a staggering £40 million for the England full back.

After talks between Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino and chairman Daniel Levy, Walker will be allowed to leave White Hart Lane this summer.

And that will spark a bidding war between Premier League rivals Emirates Marketing Project and Chelsea.

It's believed Bayern Munich also joined the chase for the speedy defender last night with German legend Philipp Lahm playing his final Bundesliga game against Freiburg yesterday before retiring.

Despite wanting to keep his squad together for another attack on the Premier League title after two near misses, Pochettino will let Walker leave.

But Tottenham are adamant Walker will be the only one of their main first team stars to go before next season – with England duo Danny Rose and Eric Dier off limits and not for sale.

Sancho looks promising too. I'm sure that they have other amazing U21 players that we could target. Get them in before they demand city wages.

If we could get him and and ship out Janssen that is an improvement to the squad.

He's got 4/5 goals in 20 this season - I imagine not many of those games are more than a few minutes
